How and how much to ship mounted wheels/tires?
So what's the best way to ship a mounted set of wheels/tires and how much should it cost? (from say, LA to Houston)
Here is what you need to do. Go to office depo and get some of their foam on a roll (NOT bubble wrap this can leave marks) and cover the entire face of the wheel real good and tape that down to the tire, then cut the cardboard about 1 inch shorter than the tire and tape that down over the face of the wheel and the foam, all this will protect the face of the wheels. Then wrap the whole thing with lots of that plastic wrap stuff like saran wrap and tape it all down real tight. This will prevent any "box burn" from the cardboard shifting over the face of the wheel. I've shiped over 200 sets of wheels like this and never had a problem.

So I did the bubble wrap and cardboard technique as mentioned then I took them to UPS. You will get charged an extra fee for them not being in a box but I shipped mine from Florida to Texas and I know it was less than $200 I think closer to $100. I was told they arrived perfectly.

if you have a pack and ship place bring it to them..they will pack it up for you. they will have box that will fit it. my friend owns a pack and ship store. all they do is get a box large then the wheel all wrap up, and then they cut the box down to size.
