Default Has anyone or is anyone, running a 305/30/19 on a 9.5" Rim

My 285/35's are almost gone and im getting ready to make a purchase for 265/30/19's Front 8.5" rim and 305/30/19's Rear 9.5" rim. Just want to know if anyone did this on a 19. I understand VRT has done this on 18's with a different sidewall i believe. I would just hate to buy these tires and if they didn't fit be stuck with them. Im planning on getting PS2's. Anyone interested in the 305's if they don't fit. I'll sell them for the same price I pay once i order. Hopefully the 265's fit too otherwise they will be sold as well and i'll be force to run 255/295. I'm sure you wondering what the difference is, probably not much but bragging or aesthetically. Just to be able to look back and see a 300 series tire.

Here is what Michelan says:

305/30 YR19
(102Y) XL 220 AA A
1874 lbs.
50 psi
10/32"
29 lbs. 10.5-11.5"
11"
You are way outside the recommended rim width of 11" - I wouldn't try it!
Why do you need to go that large for a street tire?

Im currently running Bridgestone 285/35's out back also, and im out of recommended wheel width. I need to run these for aesthetics, traction, and just to have a 300 series tire on back.

I would not go 295 on a 9.5in rim. Thats just dangerous.

VRT is running 315/30/18's and that is on the standard Nismo wheel that is 9.5". No one quite understands how but they are and they work well with no rub. You gotta have the right offsets to do it without rubbing though. aren't the Nismo wheels +43 offset?

If you run the tire outside the manufactures rim width recommendation, you stand to loss a lot of traction since your tire will roll over! If you need a 300 series tire, change the wheel too!

Don't mean to steal the thread but will 305's work on a 10.5 wheel w/ a 22 offset?

If you question is will they fit without rubbing, I dont know. Will the tires fit the rim, they should fit just fine, if im running 285's on a 9.5, you should have no issue with a 305.

I have been told that a tire too wide for the application numbs your feedback from the road and that CAN'T be good!...

Tirerack has all the spec's on Michelan's. They also rate the PS2 the highest for dry and really high for wet. I own them and love them. I can also keep up with any track tire on wet conditions. Yet, can't keep up with R compond tires when it is dry!

Standard nismo wheels in the USA are 18x8.5 front +25 and 18x9.5 +30 rear.
same offsets on the 19s.

It's cool to have a really wide tire and contact patch and all on the car, don't get me wrong, but it's better to run a wider wheel. Not just looks wise, but feel wise as well. Sometimes when you put a really wide tire on a more narrow wheel, you get a little "soft" or "sloppy" feel with your ride, due to the sidewalls bulging etc.... If that size tire will fit your car, then a wider wheel will as well.

No drop, stock suspension.
26 offset and no rubbing/no fender rolling.
I'll try to get pics up next weekend when I am free if you'd like.
