18 vs 19 - Performance
Will 19's prove substantially better in performance than 18's?
With comperable tire sizes on each.
Forget looks (size wise), ride, tire price, tire life.......just performance
Opinions, Experience, Facts.......please?!

If you're going to the track I would suggest some WIDE 18" wheels for best performance. (9" up front, 10" in the rear) 18's would be slightly lighter, the right amount of sidewall with a wide tire, etc. I don't think you'll notice a difference between the two sizes on the street other than when you're pushing it REALLY hard on an on/off ramp. ( I said hard-on, huh huh) One thing is for sure, the MORE RUBBER you can put down the better for grip. Now if you have too much grip....well....it's time for more power...and on...and on...and on....

18" wheels with 245/45x18 tires and 19" wheels with 245/35x19 series tires both have the same diameter.
Smaller wheels are lighter though and their weight is closer to the center so they are quicker.

Whether you go with 18" or 19" wheels wouldn't affect top speed if you use the correct tires because the diameter would not change.

Since he didn't ask about 15" rims I didn't go there. Smaller is quicker and lighter..yes. If it's the same diameter over all it comes down to weight. Weight is weight, top end or not, unsprung weight eats horsepower. As far as sidewall goes shorter is not always better, it depends on suspension set up and width of tire, blah blah blah. More importantly.....sdpearso, is that your car in your avitar?

More importantly, the avatar is a Photoshop that another member created of the NISMO car in black. This photoshop is why I bought the NISMO kit. I haven't got around to changing my avatar to an actual pic of my car yet.

The body kit looks good. Do you plan on filling the recessed area where the Nissan badge used to be in the front? Did you install the seats yourself? Have you seen the back of the black track in the Se7en Mods thread? (wheels and tires forum) You may want to change the rear emblem to the Z badge. It looks like you are looking for "simplicity". I didn't want to (completely) side track the thread so I didn't re-post the pic.

I have seen the Se7en Mods thread but I didn't notice the rear emblem. I'll go back and look.
