Acetone damages many plastics badly. Just a fair warning.

If you're going to use any solvent, use a tiny tiny droplet and spot check it to make sure it is not going to completely ruin your rims.

Once you get it off I suggest a really good alarm w/ a tilt sensor and proximity sensor instead of using super glue on something that is meant to come off. Good luck dude.

On a ledge here....but maybe drill a small hole in the middle, and stick a screw driver in the hole and try to pop off?

yes i can see the reasoning behind glueing centre caps on - you'd rather some 15 yr old sit there for minutes wedging a screw driver bw the rim and cap trying to edge it off chipping the crap out of the wheel

update: took my glue problem to my local, small tire shop, and they easily popped the caps off with a large hammer, without any damage to the caps or wheels. i removed the old glue, put the caps back on, and they're holding just fine. problem solved. too bad it was beyond the skill level of my nissan service dept.
