Inexpensive wheels such as ASA are heavy cast wheels. All new wheels look cool when you first put them on the car. How do inexpensive wheels stand up to 40,000 miles of dirt, rain, sun, mud, road debris and repeated washing? Think about it.

ASA is not bad at all.. they are actually made by BBS and are "low pressure" casted, which ofcourse is not forged, but is still better than regular casting..

any wheel will act the same under all conditions. Maybe the coatings may not last, but any wheel will last the same under those conditions. You think factory steel wheels with hubcaps are high quality? They last as long as the car.

I ran ASA KA3s for two salty winters. The finish started to bubble up in a couple spots which I don't suppose is too bad. I think they're ok for everyday use, but I'm not sure if they're strong enough for racing, especially if you put Rs on.

Check out the classified section here and buy a used set of wheels. You'd be suprised what you can find in the classified section. Dumbasses buying expensive wheels then selling them 3 months later for crack money.

Volk is mostly all about style. The wheel centers are cast on their 2 piece wheels. They have a few serious one piece lightweight forged wheels. People buy their 2 piece wheels for looks. They sure are heavy.
