Default Look at this BullSh!t...

I took off all of my wheels the other day and swapped on the 17's....reason was originally I wanted to clean and use some Wheel Wax inside and out to help with brake dust, and give it an awesome shine. Well day before I pulled them off I noticed my rear tire a little low, I pumped some air into it, took all my wheels off and saw a nail in my 285/35 BFG. I was mad, but thought no biggy a simple patch at big o tires will do the trick. So I wash them all, scrub them, wax them, they are blingin, take the tire and rim to the shop everything is going good until he gets the tire back on and fills it with air, there is this **** popping out of the side wall....

So I try to call TireRack where I got the tires from but they are closed, I tell them to put the rim on Ill take it easy on the way home and park it. He only filled it up to 36psi, and I lowered it down to about 31 and the bubble went down a little, but they think its from hitting a pot hole and it broke inner support.....I called BFG, they said they dont cover road hazard damage, not sure if I got the road hazard insurance with TireRack, but my receipt says

BFG1 Warranty quantity 1

Registration card quantity 1

So hopefully I have insurance and they will replace it, if not I am going to be heated....I am getting ready to buy new BFG front tires so if they dont replace it I am not buying from them ever again. These tires are still so new, they are a little over 5 months old and I have only been to the track once and I didnt even do any burnouts, Im

Sick....I think it's a shame tires aren't covered by the company for crap like that. Must have been a doosy of a pothole. Glad you took it in before it became a real issue.

I just got a tire from Tire Rack for another car and my receipt says the same thing. I think that all that is, is a card to send in for your tire's warranty. If you didn't pay any extra for road hazard protection, I don't think they will cover it unfortunately.

Pay the extra money for the lifetime coverage. It is well worth it. I'm glad I did.

You have to buy 4 tires to be able to buy the road hazard program, I'm pissed! I hope they will replace anyway, or I am going to buy from someone else...

sorry dude, but that happens more than you think with low profile tires (especially nitto's and toyo's from my personal experiences), ... that's just part of the 'game'.
Tirerack has been more than helpful with replacing tires for me in some cases, ... how many miles on the tire?
good luck

Wait a minute. You ran over a nail and now you have a bubble and you didn't buy the protection, and it's Tire Rack's fault?

the thing with low profile sidewall tires, when mounting and dismount, there are increased chances of bubbling on the sidewall with less-skilled technicians; mounting and balancing tires is teh sk1llz!

The bubble wasnt caused by the nail, when I asked the Tech's there they said it could have been a pothole or other large shock to the tire that broke the sidewall, BFG doesnt offer a Road Hazard insurance, and when I bought them from tirerack it wasnt available to me, I figure because the tires are new still they should replace it for me, if not Ill tell them I need to buy 2 additional front tires and would appreciate them replacing the broken one for me, if still they wont replace it I will be very upset. I'm the customer, I am the one that needs to be kept happy, if I could buy road hazard for just 2 tires I would, but you cant, has to be a set of four tires...

This shop I went to is where I went when I got some other tires taken off and mounted, they also mounted my BFG's originally, the same guy has done all of the mounting for all my tires, he is real cool, I dont think it was his fault. I know this is a 35 series tire, but these BFG's 35 sidewall is really thick/wide.

Sorry but the regular warranty that comes with tires is literally worthless.

I would think you would know if you had hit a pothole that hard.

Doesnt have to be just a pothole, could be parts of the road people are working on, uneven road, I usually dodge potholes, but the rest of the road isnt that nice either...

Sorry, I misunderstood you then. I thought the nail caused your bubble.
