Default Reseting TPSensors ?

I was about to swap tires front & rear and was wondering if there is a method to reset the TPS to read correctly without plugging into the ECU. If not if I swap em out will they just show front rear reversed or will it not pick up a reading due to them being calibrated to a paticular corner of the car.

Starting to wear a bit on the inside edge so thought I could save a lil time before I have to have em rotated.

Thx for the help,
Take it easy.

Westby- This subject has been covered extensively, but the short answer is if you are considering swapping wheels and tires front-to-rear DON'T DO IT! The tire sizes and rolling diameters are different (as are the wheel sizes) and will cause problems with either VDC or handling. If you want to rotate tires, take your Z to the local tire store and have them dismount the fronts and remount them side-to-side (rotating same direction on opposite sides). Same for the rear. You'll need to pay for a mount/balance for each corner and make sure the tire tech keeps the wheels on their respective corner(s) to keep the VDC operating properly.

And that's the short story...

Well since I'm runing 275/35/18 on 9.5 inch wheels all the way around there is no problem with that. I just would like to know if my tps sensors can be recalibrated or still work but give incorrect readouts.

Thanks.

If they don't work after you rotate the tires, the dealer can reteach the TPS the new sensor locations. Is that what you mean? I'd say rotate them and let us know if they still work

Westby, I am also interested in buying and running that wheel/tire combination at all 4 corners for track days (Driver Ed. events) for a neutral handling setup. I would only bother with the TPS sensors if there was no problem with rotating the wheels/tires at all 4 corners for better tire life (running negative camber). Any update you can provide?

Also, if I wanted to disable TPS on my 350Z, how would I do that? Earlier this year I bought a used 2003 Track Edition 350Z for Driver Ed events, but I still drive it on the streets (it is not a dedicated track car -- yet ). Do I disable it by just not installing the sensors in the new wheels? Is that enough? Do I also have to pull a fuse? If so which one? I want to avoid that stupid yellow "low tire" icon in the instrument cluster from ever coming on AND I would like to avoid that obnoxious 30 second per tire alarm buzzer that goes off at the track in the first afternoon session after my tires have cooled down over lunch! Very obnoxious!...

Any help in this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Tom
