rechroming can be done. Here in Houston we have 3 local places that do it. They chemically strip the old layer of chrome off the wheel and re-dip it. Turn around time is about a week and a half.

Chroming is more expensive... To give you idea, repolishing and clearcoating is about $125.00 per wheel. Rechroming is a bit more. I can't remember the exact price, but I believe closer to $200.00. Check this site out to give you some ideas: www.fixrim.com

Take them to TWS they do great work I just had my wheels powdercoated and my lips polished and clearcoated. Great price. Ask for Sander Huang (909) 468-1311. In the city of Walnut.

What wheel do you have that is chrome?

If it's a Volk wheel the lips are annodized and clearcoated. Not chrome.

The cheapest way to a shiny lip is to have them polished. But do not clear coat. The clear coat gets funky. Polish and then repolish when necessary.

You can chrome them. But traditional chroming is history. You want permastar chrome.

TWS charged me 85 to repolish and clearcoat for each wheel. I think they charge 60 to just repolish. Re-chroming the lip is way more expensive about $200.
