Default Two Questions...

I just have two questions I need to ask. Just starting to change some things on my Z, and was wondering...

(1) I'm ordering Volk rims (GT-C or GT-AV) for my car, 19x9.5 in the front and 19x10.5 in the rear. My question is, will I have to lower my car once these rims are on?

(2) Interior question: I have yet to find something really good to polish the plastic on the doors and dash. Anyone have any luck with finding something that works really well?

Thanks for all the help...

Christian

you dont HAVE to lower your car, I would though. to me, it looks a bit funny with such big rims and OEM wheel gap. atleast get some tanabe GF210s or something. just a mild drop is perfect for 19s.

1. You don't have to lower it, but it looks much more aggresive when you do

2. pass on the interior polishing. It makes everything slippery, but if you must, go with some type of interior vynl wipes like Meguiar's or Amoral

1. You don't have to lower your car if you keep the same dimensions as OEM wheels. I am rolling on G35 Optional 19" Rays Engineering with stock ride height and it looks fine. I'm adding a Nismo kit so I can't lower (driveway issues)
2. As far as interior, if you must, use Meguir's interior detail

I used ArmorAll on my previous car which also had a black plastic interior and the dashboard and everything looked nice, but do NOT use it on your leather steering wheel...unless you don't like steering.

Check the Cleaning and Detailing forum for more info, but the thing to use on your Interior is 303 Aerospace Protectant. Whatever you do, don't spray anything directly on the door panels, dash, console, etc. That will cause it to have a wet splotchy look. Spray on a cotton towel, wait a few seconds for it to be absorbed then rub on the doors, etc.
