18x9.5 on all fours?
I'm looking at potentially buy a new set of wheels, 18x9.5, +12 offset all around. I figure I'll make the most out of all four tires and eliminate having to deal with the hassle of mounting new tires, taking the old ones off, etc.. Are there any problems I might encounter running this set-up on a completely stock 350z (non-Brembro)?
Also, can anyone offer some good tire recommendations to make this set-up work best? Many thanks.

I was thinking about running 265s all around. Would like the 275s, but am worried about throwing those up front..Any ideas? I also want to keep them all consistent so I can rotate the tires.

now with grand touring model and it feels good on medium and
large turns but has tons of understeer on tight corners

Nice article. I'm not really concerned with the 18x9.5, +12 fitting in the rears, as it looks like it should fit fine w/o any adjustments. But I'm wondering if there will be any issues having that low of an offset wheel up front?
As for tires, they seemed to pull off 275s up front, but just barely. I think there were minor issues w/rubbing but nothing that concerned them for their testing purposes. But again, they were using 275/40, so I guess depending on the tire, of course, and if I stick with 275/35 all around, I should probably be fine, right?
I was thinking about picking up the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Anyone have experience w/these tires?
Still 265/35 all around might be a better choice, but just not as aggressive and wide as the 275. Don't know.

I don't know how wide of tire you can run with a +12, if you are going for the stretched look it might be fine but if you are looking for a squared off sidewall, you might rub on the outside.
I am running the Nismo 18x9.5 (+30) all the way around on 275s (35 front/40 back) with 0 issues, the steering is not heavy, no rubbing, and good tire wear. They look pretty flush to me. I would say they are maybe 5mm in, if that.
Another thing to keep in mind with the Z is the weak spindle/wheel bearings, and the further you go out the more stress you put on them. Current pricing for factory wheel bearings is 185 from mynismo.com, in case you wanted to know.

Chris- do you have any pics of your setup? Which tires are you running?
The idea of 255/40 RT-615's all around on 9.5" LMGT4's crossed my mind since they are $160ea on edgeracing.com and I could run them on street and track.

If you will never see an autocross or track I'd suggest trying the Falken FK452's or Toyo T1-R since they are great street tires and easy on the wallet.
Just remember when choosing a rear tire size that a smaller diameter tire will throw off your speedometer, making it read faster than you are going and therefore adding more miles to your odometer than you've actually gone.
