Default Widest Tire on a stock 17" rim???

looking for the widest possible tire for all 4 corners on a stock 17 wheel. guessing front 235 and rear 255.

OEM width plus 20 mm.

is that a fact or a guess???

assuming by your mods, this isn't your first rodeo, just want to be sure. ordering the Hooiser R6's next week or two, if not the Nitto NT01's. Want to be sure what I can sqeeze on there without losing performance.

Wrong forum, but yes, I believe the widest tires on a 17" stock rim is 255 (only on the rears), without causing problems.

An additional 20 mm is safe and conservative. I would not make an unsafe suggestion.

R6 or NT01?????... track use and auto-x only. Street tires are on my 18 stock rims.

never used the R6, but I used to have the NT01 's on my old mustang, and it was a fantastic tire.
