Paranoia goes a long way when it comes to your wheels, paint, and front end. After 4 years I finally screwed up my front end. Putting a new one on in a week. Wheels are still pretty good, although new ones are going on with the new front end. Paint is almost factory after four years! Paranoia I tell ya. STILL park at the end of the lot!

1st time it happened to my Track rims, I shouted a bunch of expletives really loudly. Haha.

However, since my Track rims will likely be relegated to racing duties, I could care less.

Seems as though the "curb-rash" usually happens on the right-front (front passenger-side) wheel. There's no "landmarks" on the Z's hood to use for alignment (not sure if this is the case with the '07 and its raised hood segment) and proximity to a curb. Could that be the reason?

I curbed my wheels the first day I got my Z. It was wet, and I wasn't used to the dimensions of the car yet. It was kind of bad. It wasn't just a bump, it was a loud scraping sound. Oddly enough, I haven't done it since. For some reason whenever I'm in the U-District I do something dumb like that. Oh well, they are stock and I should be getting some Work Emotions for my B-Day from the wife. I'm going to use them as a winter set anyway, so now I don't have to worry about them getting messed up.

When i curbed mine i wanted to sell the car because i felt i didnt deserve the car after curbing it like that. I had a horrible week just cause of that incident and i was contemplating selling a guitar or effects pedals to make enough money to have it repaired before the week was over. I pretty much freaked out but im lucky they were just the stockers, lol. Im looking to replace them soon with after market but i still get sick looking at it...

Never curbed a wheel on any car I've had.

Ironically however a plastic window squeegee that was on a shelf in the garage some how managed to practically fly of the shelf and onto my wheel creating a small chip. Guess I had it coming.

trust me u wouldn't, i'll post them sooner or later. I need to send off the pictures to see if they can fix a gouge instead of a rash, the repair guy said thats what they fix so i'll see.

I'll probably end up buying one GTS later on because the fix would be noticeable.....one wheel and a 60-90 day wait, just imagine hahaha.

Your shelf did it. He was hating on your ride and threw the sqeegee.

It's like new shoes for your feet. You don't even want them to get dirty/screwed up in any way, but once they get that first ding, you live easier.

I curbed mine hot-******* it around a corner. Immediatly after, for punishment, I made myself watch Toyko Drift continuously until my eyes started to bleed. Lesson learned.

I curbed my stocks while on a first date. Rock Star parking right in front of the restaurant and parallel parking. The parking area looked wet, but was actually icey. After I stopped, the whole car slid sideways like an ice skater and bounced off the curb. Really impressive. She just said,"Um....are you ok?".

I haven't curbed a wheel, ever. Nissan of McKinney did though...those mother effers. I have bumped a few curbs, but luckily that was in my Buick and the sidewalls on the tires are huge. I think i rubbed a curb in the Firebird once too, but again...no damage to the wheel. I had a 315 on an 11 inch wheel, so there wasn't much room for the rim to hit the curb.

Not only did I curbed my rims this morning and feel bummed out. I just realized I lectured my wife this past weekend because I saw scratches on the rims of her car from her curbing.

If she finds out I'll get that look. You guys with gf and wifes know what I am talking about.
