Default Paint coming off Volks...what to do?

I have le28n's (gloss black), the paint is coming off from the wells near the lug nuts. I never scratch it or anything but the paint is chipping off...wtf...what can I do to stop this? And is there any way I can "touch up" the paint? Arghh..

If it's coming off in the area of the lug holes, chances are they were damaged when the wheels were installed or if you ever removed them to fix a flat, etc. The socket could have hit and cracked the paint and it's only starting to flake loose.

I bought it from a forum member. There was one chip before but now there's many. If I bought it used...and I don't have any type of receipt will Rays still warranty them?

Doubtbul, all you can do is to try and touch them up unless you want to powdercoat them

It sounds like the damage came from putting the wheels on and off. I dont think RAYS will warranty your wheel even if you did have the original invoice. Best thing to do is just touch it up, next time, make sure to use a thin wall socket.

Even better than a thin walled socket is one that has a plastic sleeve over it. That helps keep the sockets from scratching or damaging painted wheels.
