the wheels center cap says MAIDO III , or possibly MAIDD III. That was the toyo tires car at sema ias.

I saw those too, only thing is, they copy the VOLK GT-C design, and I am not too big on copied designs, especially when these wheels may very well cost more than the REAL VOLKS.

Huh? wait a sec...you have a set of iForged wheels! and 95% of their wheels are direct copies / knock-offs of HRE's entire line up!

Just joking...found your comment alittle funny b/c of that, no pun intended!

Yeah these do run more than GTCs....and I always considered iForged are knock off HREs as well...but regardless they are NICE!

Thanks guys for the replies....very helpful. Now have to decide between these or Zenetti Mystik's.

rodH

I agree they do look like the GTC wheel. But for me, the GTC wheel design is too elaborate....they suit a Z with a Nismo kit, but not a stock car. The GTC wheel is too over designed IMO for a non-kitted car. For me, those Miado alloys strike a nice balance between a plain 5star alloy and a wheel like the GTC.

This may be stretching the forum friendship here but can some1 handy with the mouse photoshop that wheel onto a chrome silver Z. That would b greatly appreciated

Thanks

Hmmm, show me an HRE that looks JUST like my iForged, Ummmm, never mind, you can't. They (HRE) have a 5 spoke design, BUT it is MUCH MUCH different than mine (but they are nice, if you like a narrow 5 spoke).

I know you were kidding, and I am just playing along, BUT IF HRE made some 5 spokes that I preferred of these iFOrged, I would have bought them, regardless.

I agree with you, infact I almost got hte GTC's and replaced the black bolts around the outside with chrome bolts so they wouldn't stand out as much, BUT they still have the cut-out/slots, so your right, they are a bit more complex. That is one of the main reasons I didn't do it (BUT I still LOVE to see them on other peoples cars)

Actually, when I was at sema I saw some identical HRE's to ours, the only difference being the bolts, which they could probably delete also. Even the new iforged center cap is a knockoff of HRE. I'm not complaining, I think they are great wheels for a great price.

sorry to bring this back up but I thought you should see these! Esp based on your 2nd reply saying they didn't even have one....when I say 95% of Vince's wheels are direct copies of HREs I mean it! I dealt with Vince waaay back in the day, sorry I take that back...I got RIPPED OFF by Vince for $2800 waaay back in the day when he first started this little wheel adventure of his! And that was 2 company names ago! But I will not go into any details about that since this thread is not about it....even back then (like 1.5yrs ago) he was on HRE's d!ck so bad and talked copying them and selling much lower b/c of how popular they are, I'm honestly surprised it took him this long......anyway I'm getting off the point here so here are the HREs that Vince copied for your set...the one in the middle look alittle familiar? Sure, none of them can be 100% copies or he would have some serious problems! So a wheel that looks 99% falls under this just the same way! Hell, look at what he even did the centercaps! 95% of everything he did for the "new" line-up is nothing less than a copy of what them.

Oh and he copies, I mean offers both versions too, who would of thought!!!

again, no pun for you! your Z still looks great...just pointing out what you said about hating knock-off companies

Hi. I have Zenetti Chrome Stingrays on my Eclipse and they look great, especially when they've just been cleaned.

I am thinking about buying a Z and would want to put those wheels on it. Do dealers let you buy a car without wheels and take the price of wheels and tires off? Thanks.

are you serious?? so ALL 5 spokes must look alike to you, i guess.

Believe me, I searched LIKE crazy for the right wheels, I am VERY particular, NOT all 5 spokes look alike to me.

Oh, the old HRE vs Iforged debate! I was debating between the two, seemsd to me, if you like the one, you will like the other. I went HRE because I knew I would get quality, the post from VW people scared me away from Vince. Some of you are happy with vince, others are not. I think Iforge look great and if you had no problems getting them, you got out a lot cheaper than me with my HRE's. I love my HRE's and I guess I am not just a gambler. rodH: your wheels look great, some of my favorites! The HRE's that someone posted that look like yours are VERY expensive. they make my 445's seem like American Racing in comparison. They would be hard to justify for the cost of a Z.

Everyone has got to realize that people have different taste in wheels. Thank goodness everyone does not have my wheels...

ya, the debate is getting pretty lame to be honest with you. of COURSE HRE makes awesome wheels. as far as being a "gambler" It wasn't that big of a gamble for me, I went to hte factory, met Vince and watched them make wheels and saw the finished product, he also NEVER charged my CC, so there was NO risk for me. WHen I was there, I liked what I saw and decided to go that route, I was also looking into HRE, Volk GT-C, Volk 57 challenge, Dronells, 5 Zigen Hyper5ZR, and Racing Hart CR, RAcing HArt M5, etc.....I really wanted a specific look, and iForged could provide it, I liked the Dronells a LOT, but they were impossible to find, the Racing Harts and Volks don't come without the parameter bolts, so in what I was looking for, I found in iForged.

btw, people talk about how "cheap" iForged wheels are (an obvious reference to HREs pricing), but that is relative, the Racing Harts and Volks were basically the same price as the iForged Group Buy price (I get products at wholesale through my families bussiness's, so I would save MORE $$ on the Volks and RHs, and ONLY saved a tiny bit on the iForged wheels VS the group buy price).
