Gt-s can clear all BBK's to my knowledge unless someone else can clarify otherwise, and the gt-s are known for the biggest lip in the "lip" department
BBK clearence is determined by pad height. You can have a higher offset than +17 +18 and still clear BBKs. Most +17 +18s I have seen have high pad height. Larger calipers like AP Racing 6 pots are a bit close and some owners prefer to space them out a bit.

exactly! it's the pad height that is measured from the face of the inside hub to the inside face of the spokes; not the offset which determines brake clearance. this is why makers like Work Wheels gives you the option of Face/Barrel/Dish sizes to figure out what clearance you get with your BBK or OEM brakes
