im thinking about buying corvette rims or corvette style rims for my Z (if they would fit)

what do you guys think about how they would look

They'll look like sunken battleships.
Please do some research on sizing (specifically offsets) if you want to enhance the appearance of your car.
Just to give you an idea, 17x9 + 25 is a very "SAFE" flush( I.e. you probably won't need to roll fenders as long as your tires aren't ridiculously wide), so 17x8.5 + 56 will look TERRIBLE.

On top of all of that, the bolt pattern is incorrect.
350z's use 5x114.3 also referred to as 5x4.5

offset is not right. that'll probably look more tucked in than stock 17s.

i meant more the style corvettes have that thin five spoke...

i like nismo rims but 500 a piece is crazy

Do some studying here about wheel size and offset. There are plenty of wheels that will bolt to the 350Z, but will not clear the suspension.
