3-2-1.5" ABS pipe works great along with a heat gun, and the flex of the pipe is helpfuly because it doesn't allow for too much bending to occur in one pass like with the fender roller. I've done 3 sets of fenders using this method without any cracks

Hey Jeremy, this thread got me wondering - can you find out or do you know if the fenders on my G needed rolling to get the 295 PS2 on the back w/ the drop from the Tein monos... thx man Also Sharif has been promising me a pic of the wheel/tire combo - can you post a teaser for me till I get there?

i'll be by the shop friday evening to take a look... i'll let you know if i think they need rolling or cutting... but, most likely you will have to do one of the two... leaving it at factory height might be ok, but lowering it will cause the tires to touch and scrub when going around hard curves...

i'll see what i can do about getting a teaser up for ya, too... when are you due in to pick up the car?

Next thu - 13th evening. I don't know how low Sharif went with it. I only have the ForgedPerformance camber arms in the rear so I don't want to mess up rear toe or front camber by going too low.

It's nice to be able to bug, errr I mean chat, with someone else on the forums about stuff at FP!

Right now, they clean fine....but I think with extreme cornering speeds, they will rub. We are planning on rolling them just prior to pickup...just to be safe.

And Raj..you are never bugging us.

that's right... i forgot you got *MY* set of FP camber arms... *haha* i had to go out and get some Stillens thanks to you! wait, maybe that was bambam that rogued them... can't remember...*haha*

most likely sharif only lowered it a tad... usually he drops them about .5 to .75" for better handling and aesthetics, but this keeps them from being too far out of spec with a good alignment...

but, i will find out any and all info when i speak with him...

and no worries, doc...that's what i'm here for... i know sharif is always very busy...with teh internets pr0n.

edit - i see the info was already posted while i was typing... *haha*

The prototype set of arms went on BamBam's car...so you can blame him for having to resort to Stillen. Now we have plenty more in stock!

Wow Sharif I thought my post was well hidden here in the tires section, chatting with Jeremy off in a corner of the site! You got some automated software that flags posts with your name in it? lol

honestly, though, cutting is the best route to take... the Z's fenders are relatively easy to cut and it does not degrade structural support in the least...

I am running 295 in the rear and thinking of having the body shop cut out the fender and flare it out. Is this a good ideal ?

currently i'm running Volk SF Challenges in a 10.5x19 with a +23 offset... (this is in the rear) i'm lowered on an Eibach Pro Kit which is, for some reason, lower than normal...and my fenders are cut... i have no rubbing issues at all, but without them being cut, i would have shredded my tires long ago...

it seems we could have a very similar setup, so i would have your fenders cut, but i wouldn't worry with flaring them... there would be no need for the extra step... as it sits, i could get 305s to work without issue, as well...

Hi Jeremy, my car is currently at GTM, I have GTS f 19x9.5 +18 /265 tire and R 19x10.5/295 tire. Here are the problems :

1. tires & wheels stick out beyond the fenders for front & rear.
2. The gap for the rear tires & top of fenders is too big.

I like to keep the current tire & rim setup but how to get all 4 inside the wheel wells & minimize the gap, what should I do ?

there's really nothing you can do except use a different set of wheels that have a less aggressive offset... unfortunately, in your scenario there's no way to "push" the tires further into the wheelwell... with offsets that are not aggressive enough, you can add spacers... but, unfortunately, in your case, there's no way to go backwards...

as far as the gap you're referring to, i'm not quite sure i understand what you're talking about? do you mean it needs lowering?

Thank you, but I have seen a lot of members on this forum running this agressive GTS setup. I think I saw it on your customer's car not too long ago.

camber kits front and rear to add additional negative camber can get them to tuck with a good fender roll/pull. You setup isn't that aggressive as I've seen 285's on a +18 rear clear. Are you at stock height?

i must be confused as to what you're asking, then... as i understand it, you're asking if there is a way to push the wheel / tire back inside the fender-well as it sticks out too far? (e.g.: the pic posted by JCat on page 1 of this thread)

if so, there's no way to do this... if you mean you have too much positive camber and the tire is just a slight bit outside of the fender well at the top, then adding negative camber "might" help... this could be done by lowering the car... the lower you go, the more negative camber that will be added... but, this also serves to open a pandora's box of alignment issues...
