Default 295's on an 18x9.5" Wheel?

I was wondering if ANYONE on the forums was running a 295 on an 18x9.5" wheel.

I know of people running 295's on 18x10" wheels.

If so, have you had any problems with that tire size?

I'm running 285's right now but I wanna go wider if possible.

Thanks

How many miles so far if I may ask?

Reason I ask is because "factory recommended" highest width for a 9.5" wide wheel is a 285. My tires already bulge a bit but I love the look.

Can you feel the difference in terms of grip?

Thanks!

Oh well I've only had them for a few days, I can definatly feel a difference because I went from a regualar street tire 285/35 to a 295/35 Drag Radial.

295 would be too wide for 9.5" width wheels in a street application. The sidewall will be too bulgy. Keep in mind that although you may like the look (surprised to hear that, BTW, most people hate it; it looks terrible), an undue amount of bluge is too stressful for the sidewalls (think of all the flex) on a day-in day-out street application. Even the 285 you have now is pushing it, as evident by the bulge.

I'm running 285's on a 9.5 and its probably the widest I would go, there is already a slight bulge to it

why would 265's be crazy on a 9.5? Tire manufacturer's safe specifications goes up to 285

Hmmm guess I'll buy a set of 10.5" or 11" wide rear wheels and stuff some 305's or 315's in there or something and get my rear quarterpanel cut and the fenders widened by 2" or something.
