Inexpensive TRACK ONLY wheels/Tires that I can rotate
Help!
I want a set of relatively Inexpensive TRACK ONLY wheels/Tires that I can rotate WITHOUT using spacers....i.e., a "square" setup. likely 17x9...something like the MB Weapons or 5Zigen..I want to run 255/40/17 or 275/40/17 R-comps...
OK, What would you guys recommend today?
Car setup today: 2006 350Z Grand Touring w/Brembo, Hotchkis springs and sways, max camber with stock suspension parts. Not planning to install any Camber kits....The stock fronts GT wheels 18x9 +30 Offset 245/40 barely fit...I can't even slip my bird finger between the tire and upright....but that is why I am asking this question of people who have run this setup before. I have read every damn article on the Net and none of them agree..pretty funny!

5zigin is really the only company that makes anything like that its the fn01r-c they arent cheap though but they come in a very wide size. I think i would go with a non staggered set up though if you want to be able to rotate them. When i buy track wheels im going to run 275 all way around because it gets rid of most the understeer and i can rotate them i if i need to.
Agreed with that about the 5zigin ...now just need to know what offset??????????????? to run with the 17x9
+35 or +25 or +15..........I'm loosing my mind over this....right now +25 appears to be the winner....I don't care about color...

The Falkens are a couple pounds lighter. I ran the +35 with 275/40 all around without issue. The wheels are tucked similar to stock, but if it's a track only setup then I wouldn't worry about it. +25 would be ideal, but I don't see that offset available in 9" width.
Also, Enkei RPF1. Probably the lightest wheel out there that is fairly inexpensive. I see they have a 17 x 9 +22 (15.9 lbs) out that would work really nice, around $1k for the set. http://www.edgeracing.com/wheel/6082/
What wheels did you run with the +35 17x9 w/275/40s?
But to me, if my stock 18x9 30ET 245/40/18 almost rub to upright. I would think that 35 ET wheels would surely rub.....

I have 17x9 (+35mm offset) all around with 275/40s mounted. I have 10mm spacers in front & 25mm in rear. No rubbing issues whatsoever. I had to roll the rear fenders though. My 17x9 rims are only 16lbs & they were only $129 each at Tire Rack!

What are they?
Is this the cheapest way to go for RComps using a 17x9 "Square" setup?
