Unofficial Enkei Wheels Thread
Yeah a 255/40 is about spot on, but the RE-11s don't come in that size. Oh well, I'll have to find another tire (I don't like to mix and match). They make a 255/35, but I'm not sure how off that'll be with a 275/40 in the rear. Fender rolling isn't a concern of mine. The car is going to get repainted anyways.
Edit: Front stock compared, with 255/40/18: When your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 60.1 mph.
Rear stock compared, with 265/40/18: When your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 59.2mph.
Does anyone use these sizes and do they require a fender roll, if your stock or less than a inch drop?

Couple pics of mine...
18x9.5/10.5 +15 with 275/35 & 295/35
Lowered on Eibach Sportlines with -2 camber front and -2.7 camber rear
Next alignment I'm going to go with closer to -2 camber rear because these 295's are creating a little understeer despite the 275's up front.

your car is really making me considered staggered rpf's as a opposed to a square 18x10.5 set up.
car looks really good!
I'm not sure about the Speedo thing, but as for tires, My budget is pretty high for tires. I'm willing to settle for whatever is good that has the sizes I want. I just prefer the RE-11s after driving on a set.

Advan,
Thanks Z brotha. Your answer helped a bunch. What tires did you use by the way?

Hankook RS3 has better Z sizing, and Nitto NT05 does too, both are great tires.
But enough on the brand talk, post some mo suckin' wheels..........
nice sodero! that looks killer. i assume no spacers. can you show a side shot?
also, guys... as far as tires go - I am currently mounting (4) 6/32 used michellin ps2's
for $400-500 depending on exact condition. Have never run anything on the level.
just a thought.

No spacers yet... However I do need one in the front. I figured the 255's would come closer to the fenders, but i was wrong. Going to run at least a 10mm spacer. Then switch to 275 in the front next time.
And more pics will come shortly.. We just had more snow here so the car is hibernating for a couple days.

Does the "Chrome" (I think its called SPC coating or something) cost more than they other colors? Also i know its not chrome so it doesnt come with the added weight but does anyone know if there is any additional weight that is gained from the chrome sbc coating as opposed to say, silver or gunmetal?
I cant seem to make up my mind between the gun metal or the shiney spc coating on my 08 silver z

Any thoughts? would be nice to c some more shiney RPF1's on my color
Hello All,
I've hit a point where I've gotten my head wrapped around numbers trying to figure out what I want.
I got 18x9.5/10.5 RPF1s on order. I want to run tire wise Bridgestone RE-11 265/40 front and a 275/40 rear. I want to avoid that stretched look. I saw Scotts350 say 275 looks stretched, but looking at tire calcs a 265-275/40 is almost perfect for the F/R. But looking at a 285/40 or 35 seems too big and too small. The thing that is really killing me is percentage differences regarding the speedo, and I'm trying to keep that as close to stock as possible. I can go on for almost forever on numbers, but yeah........... I'm lost.
Looking around at peoples suggested camber I feel a 2-2.5 is where I want to be with a daily driver with a few track days here and there.
So please critique this.
Someone please help a brother out.

So to recap.. the closest sizes to stock as far as keeping the speedo in check are 295/275/35 if you want wider and 275/245/40 if you want a little stretch.

So clean!
