Default What tires with RFP1s

I just ordered a set of used (3,000 miles, look new) RPF1s 18x9.5 on Ebay. I'm thinking about putting RS3s on the rims. My question is what sizes I should get for the back and for the rear? I have an 03 performance Z.

Could I still run a staggered setup even though I have the 9.5 on the front and back?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to run RS3's you have a few options.
265/35 front 285/35 rear
265/35 front 275/35 rear
275/35 front 285/35 rear
265/35 square
275/35 square
285/35 square
I run a 9.5 and 10.5 RPF setup on my car with 275/35 front and 285/35 rear.

The offset is +15. I'm on S-Techs. So 265/35F and 275/35R should be good?

You have decreased rear axle ground clearance by 14 mm.

Actual speed 100.0 MPH. Speedometer will read 104.31 MPH.

Is this good for you?

Dude you're probably way smarter than me, that's why I'm asking lol. What's a good size to put on my vehicle with my current setup?

Difference in tire circumference is 1.08 percent. You drive a Performance to VDC? Read and study: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...read-here.html

You are in luck because Nissan has figured out all this stuff for you. Instead of a 19 inch wheel you have a 18 inch wheel. Increase the series by 5.

Yes I have a performance with VDC. So 245/40/18F and 265/40/18R will not present any problems? would 275/40/18R also work?

Yes 275/40-18 will work great, just ignore David, it will make your searching so much easier. They don't have a 275/40-18 in RS3.

Have you read my post yet? If you want to run RS3's it is all you need to know.

Yes I looked at your post. I input your first suggestion of 265/35/18F and 285/35/18R into http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

It told me that the fronts have a 2.58% difference in diameter and the rears have a 3.12% difference to stock. Won't this cause problems for VDC?

VDC wants to see a difference in speed between the front and rear tires. For all it cares you can run a 325/50-26 up front and a 345/50-26 out back, the difference in tire height between front and rear is what matters. Yes your speedo will be off slightly with the combo i suggest, but that is life.

The square combo's i suggest are the only ones that will/may give VDC problem when you don't have it turned off.

I have a VDC car, and i have posted what i'm currently running. I have also run 255-40-17 front and 275/40-17 rear, 275/40-17 front and rear (the only one that gave me problems), 275/40-17 front and 275/40-18, 275/35-18 front and 274/40-18 rear, all for track track setups. .

Okay, so what you are saying is that as long as the stagger is 0.5-1" everything should be fine? Even if the diameter difference is over 3" from the oem size?

So after reading this tread: https://my350z.com/forum/4339960-post2.html

Why did he have problems with VDC and why did the problem go away after he changed his tire from 4.4% to 0.4% of oem circumference?

I see the 285/35/18R is 3.1% different than the 245/45/18R that is stock on my Z. Will I have the same problem as he did?

How tall was his front tire ? How tall was his rear tire. How tall was his new rear tire compaired to the fronts when the problem went away?

OEM 225/45 F and 245/45 R combo the rear is +2.67% taller than the front.
---- 265/35 F and 285/35 R combo the rear is + 2.13% taller than the front
--------------- If you do the math, that would be a 0.54% veriation from stock. The computer will never know the difference.
