They don't list the specs of the wheels though.

Too European looking for me, better designed for a Merc/BMW. Not to mention a PITA to clean.

Difficult to clean because of the spoke-design?

Yes. Even the RPF1s take some time to get in between the crevices. With all the spokes on the RS05RR I would expect people with OCD, like myself, to spend 20 minutes getting brake dust off them.

Well crap. So… This would be a good time to own a teenager. Give him/her a small brush and a nonabrasive cleaner (e.g., Bar Keeper's Friend, Stovetop Ceramic cleaner, etc.), and turn them loose on the wheels.

Win…Win… They get paid for a job that would never happen without the Z, and you (and your Z) get a great service. It won't take long to clean; the expense is minor.

Well put, but then what do you do on a Sat. night when Junior asks if he and his buddy can take the Z out cruising?

What my dad did when he owned a Porsche and allowed us (his teenage sons) driving privileges.

I understand your point. Dad was strict and had clear rules. It worked and the Porsche was safe (along with his sons).

Those wheels remind me of my NT03's without the strethening ring, very pita to keep clean.

Darn…. the RS05RR look so good…

Another downside for this wheel is that curb rash will happen on the spoke ends as well as the rim edge.

Would a different brake pad (releasing less dust) mitigate the problem?

ive had these wheels for about 5 months now.. the cleaning isnt that much of a pita. then again i have the darker matte gray version so it doesn't show dirt all that much.
I think when i had my rpf1 that was more of a pain to clean.

Do I see the rust at 12 o'clock?

The color seems to be SBC.

Just on the brake rotor and open-ended r40's, never said it was the wheel

I switched to the StopTech Street Performance pads for this reason. There is considerably less dust.

^^ I'll mount StopTech Street Performance pads at the next replacement.

Good tip. Thanks
