I think the earlier models may have more issues with sound from the rear hatch.

I know someone who covered the lining of the hatch in alcantara/suede and he said it quieted everything down.

one of my friends noticed that the hatch clips were what was actually squeaking and not the strut bar. a good bang on it and it went away for a while. the metal clips are noisy I guess.

so how are you liking these tires, Tom? these might be my deciding factor on how good they are... how stiff/soft are the sidewalls? any stiffer than the Toyo T1R's?

I really, really like them so far. I have had them in multiple days of rain and they were excellent... traction was there, no vagueness in the wheel...

no road noise to speak of over what my car already sounds like (****ing loud as hell is how it sounds).

the grip is very good, the road feel is very good... the thing I like sofar about them is how much more I can feel what the tire is doing compared to the Goodyear GSD3s I had.

I am waiting until the coilovers are on to final-judge, cause right now the car understeers a touch with a large amount of preload on the front STB and the springs stock shocks I have.

but grip is excellent... very very good.
