Default off set right for a 04 Z?

hey guys, i need your help on something.
yesterday i went to wheel tech to look for some wheels and saw this nice set, they are having a special buy 2 wheels get 2 free. anyways the wheels size is 19x8.5 / 19x9.5 offset is +35 both front and back, please tell me if this is the correct offset that will fit my z. the guy is telling me that it wount fit and that i should go with 20s. by the way the guy is not too nice. i think hes just trying to make a bigger sale. ill appreciate ur comments, if they do fit ill most likely buy them.
thank u all.
if yea, what is the best size tires to go with these.

Wheel placement is not related to wheel diameter.

Use a offset calculator to compare your current wheels to the new wheels. With the new dimensions, check the car with a tape. Do you clear the suspension, brakes calipers and fenders? Reference: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

The guy @ wheel tech is correct. +35 is way too high! Try to stay within low to mid 20s. Look around on the forum, some members here run GT-S wheels with offsets as low as +17 or +18 . With those low offsets and wide tires you may have to roll or cut the fenders, but they look great! Search button is very helpful-sometimes. LOL

thanks man, i dont know i dont wanna buy them and then have to do all this staff to my car, but do you thing +35 will sit too much further in the wheel well. ? unrunable? ..pretending ill buy the wheels, what is the best tire size to maybe not have to do the fender roll.
thank u guys for your comments, i need to do some more reading on this to make sure i get the right set, u guys sound knowledgeable thats why i ask u guys, like at the past meeting the black Z twin turbo, that was my favorite, i love how the wheels look on his car. gives the car a wider more stock to the ground agressive look. whats the size to make it look like that? offsets and all.

+35 is a generic offset used do that the same wheel can be ran on several cars. It will "fit", but anyone who know cars will tell you that they look cheap and weak.

Trust me, I did the same thing when I got my first rims. Then I came here, learned, and sold them. Just because you can bolt them on does not mean they "fit."

Offsets in the low 20s like has been mentioned like 6 times now. Also, check the offset calculator that has already been linked to you once.
Here it is again: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Also your messages are hard to read.

You can always get wheel spacers. I got a great deal on some wheels that I really liked but the offset was +35, I ordered some 15mm spacers and now the offset is +20, MUCH BETTER now

Default Offset question

I bought some 19x8.5 & 19X9.5 wheels with 35mm offset. Will a 20mm spacer make the wheel fit? I don't want to roll fenders

No effect in ride , and a slight increase in performance.

imho, you should get 19's, 8.5 front, 10.0 rear(10.5 with slightly higher offset), +19 or +20 front, +18 thru +20 rear.....what ever you decide to go with, you should not go with anything higher than say +25.....or you will have a big gap between the face of the wheel and the body of the car....and dont be scared to have your fenders rolled if you want a more aggressive stance....
