Hmmm, 245/40/18 front, 285/35/18 rear, is that common?

Default Hmmm, 245/40/18 front, 285/35/18 rear, is that common?

Hey guys,

Was researching some wheel and tire packages online...I'm pretty much going to get rims, then tires seperate...learning about the whole staggered wheel set up, read the 18 Wheel stickied thread

I did not see this set up at all, is this common or somewhat off?

Rim - 18 x 8.5 Front Tire - 245-40-18
Rim - 18 x 9.5 Rear Tire - 285-35-18

Seems a bit odd but I'm also still learning the whole staggered set up. forgive me, I came from the world of FWD...but finally making the switch

Very nice set up,

I guess what I thought was weird about it is the smaller sidewall in the back

265/35-18 would be the proper size front for your selected rear.

I don't care for a 40 mm tread different because of unsteering potential. You may be fine with it.

The rear tires are only 3.50 mm taller than the front. VDC may not be happy with this set-up.
