Default Wheel Offset Question

Sorry guys. I did do several searches here, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

The question is this...
Will a set of F 19x8.5" with +32mm and R 19x9.5" with +35mm offsets be right for a non-brembo 2004 Z?

I've searched and found similar topics, drew what I could from the info, and still am unsure about offset issues. The seller of the set of wheels my buddy is about to buy says that +20mm and +25mm is for brembo cars only, and that +32mm and +35mm is right for the non-brembo cars. This doesn't match up with what I've read through several threads. We're trying to avoid using wheel spacers.

Flaming is accepted, "search noob" and all other comments are accepted. Just hoping someone will be able to answer this question. Thanks

Don't get them, you will need spacers. They will "fit" but not look good. Brembo equipped cars need more brake clearance which is why those weaksauce offsets won't work on them but sometimes will on a non-Brembo car. Just say "NO" to offsets in the 30's.

just a random question:

will a 19x9.5 wheel with +30 stick out the same as a 18x8.5 with +25? Or close to?

The offset is a little high. Here is what will work:

19x8.5J (+25)
19x9.5J (+25)

Ok I was using the offset calculator yesterday before posting the original question here. Everything I came up with was opposite from what the seller told me. Should I just be persistent and tell him I want the +20 front and +25 rear?

I would go even more agressive than that.

if you are getting an 8.5" wide front, look for an offset in the +12 to +15 range. on a 9.5" rear, look for a +15 to +18 range wheel. Any more agressive and you will run the risk of rubbing.

He already has the ADR M-sport wheels on his car, they're just rashed up and Hyper Black. He wants new Gloss Black.

Ok here's more info I just found out. Apparently the ADR M-sports only come in a +35mm offset. They already look fine on the car, probably because of the lip sizes compensating for the offsets. With that said, we should be fine with another similar set of wheels with +32mm and +35mm offsets. No?

I do not understand the “he” and “we” in your post. You are shopping for wheels for your 350Z correct?

Sorry bout that. I mentioned in my original post that my buddy was buying the wheels. I didn't really make that a bold enough point though. He's buying them through my ebay account cause he's ebay and paypal illiterate (kind of strange in 2008), so that's how I'm involved in the purchase. I'm also the one trying to help him out on getting the right wheels, but I don't know enough about it myself.

Anyway, the ADR wheels he has now are apparently all +35mm offset, so I think we'll go with the F+32 and R+35 and be fine.
