Default Not sure what to do...

I've come to realize I've gotten sick of the stock wheels on my 07 faster than I expected. However, my car just sits in the garage while I'm away at school, which is most of the year, so it only has 4500 miles on it. Pretty much only gets driven in the summer and driven lightly in the winter (also a long weekend once in a while that I come home). I have the money saved to buy the wheels/tires I'm interested in but I'm not sure if I should buy so soon. I'm looking at the Rota Torques, 18x9.5 all around or 9.5/8.5 staggered with Toyo T1Rs. Here's my options:

1) Buy the new wheels and tires, put them on and save the stock wheels and tires for the winter time.
2) Buy the new wheels and tires, sell the stocks (both front wheels have some pretty bad curb rash, so I'm thinking I'd be better off just keeping them)
3) Wait until I get more life out of the stocks (at least another year), then buy new wheels and tires later on.
4) Wait a couple months for Rota's new lineup of 19 inch wheels, then buy.

Sorry, but saving up 3-4 grand for Volks is not an option. Just looking for some opinions on what you guys would do in my situation. Any advice is appreciated.

I would just hold out until the Rota 19s come out.

Just wait it out. In the meantime, you can save up some money. By the time you're ready, you might have enough to get something better

As a person who has made this mistake before, I can say you'd be better off just holding onto the money and/or saving up more. Putting parts on cars you're hardly around gets old and grows tiresome.

Prices often come down on products or really good deals will pop up, but if you've already spent the money you'll never get those chances and in the mean time you won't even get to enjoy it.

Use your money for college , not on a car you hardly drive. At least wait till you drive it daily.

I like the stock 07 wheels. I don't think I would get any other rims except some Volks.

But my car is daily driven 100 miles so I would feel uncomfortable putting so many miles on $3500 Volks.

^there's more of a chance that you could hit a pothole or something that could be potentially fatal to your volks

lol, do you walk outside everyday with a raincoat?

Volks are nice and all people but quit treating them like they are made of gold. Wheels are meant to be driven on.

Life's too short to worry about what COULD happen.
