I just got some wheels and tires from them and had no issue what so ever, in fact I think they were top notch with thier shipping and customer service. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

So it was "months" after your valve stem went? Doesn't seem like that is VQ's fault, especially since the packages come pre-assembled as they stated. I've learned from experience, that b!tching somebody out over the phone won't deliver results. Be nice my friend, be nice.

I've never heard of a wheel/tire shop selling wheels that had tires mounted and balanced by someone else but I guess that could be the case. Sorry if it is.
For everyone saying to be nicer on the phone, I was professional about it. The guy I talked to promised to ship out some shorter wheel bolts but they never arrived. So I cut the long ones down a small bit. If the thread grabs as much as a stock bolt, I don't see the problem. I checked the stock bolts to see where the threads were gripping and we cut the new bolts little by little until we achieved the same amount of "grip." I checked the bolts daily with a torque wrench and they have always stayed tight.
I handled the situation as best as I could but could not get anyone to work with me.
Maybe the rep that I got a hold of was shady or didn't care. Maybe he's gone. I don't know. But I don't think it's far fetched that someone can get bad service from a business when they do everything right. I'm stating my case b/c I couldn't get any help from the business with my situation and people are talking about how I "must not have handled it correctly?" That's pretty ignorant to say. Sorry if you can't understand the logic behind that.
Thanks to those of you who are mature enough to understand the nature and validity of my complaint.

POSTED ON THE CORVETTE FORUM
VQ Motoring is out of business and they are charging to past customer's credit cards. They have charged me twice in the month of June for $2,160 = $4,300. This is not an isolated incident. A local board pointed me to LS1GTO website and there is a post there with the same problem I have. Everyone that has purchased from these clowns better be double checking your credit card billing/account.

Mod's, this should be a sticky somewhere.
My posting from yesterday:
Anyone know if VQ Motoring is still in business? The last activity was on 5/22/09 here on the forum. The reason I ask is that I need one 278 Ruff wheel and my body shop has given up trying to contact them as no one will answer the phone.
I ordered these Ruff wheels about 1 1/2 years ago with no problems.
Today I opened up my credit card bill and I have two different charges to VQ Motoring four days apart for $2,160 for each transaction = $4,300!!!!!!!!!
I have never ordered anything from them since my original purchase and never lost my credit card. I have contacted the credit card company explaining that I never have had a transaction since around February of 2008.
Something major stinks here. I have filed a dispute (the charges were in June) and I told the credit company that I'm not paying these charges. They said I should make my June payment and disregard the $4,300.
Anyone know anything about them?<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
ANYONE KNOW OF THIS??????

Pretty funny to see this thread again. People were saying that I was wrong and that this was a great company, etc. I was never an ******* over the phone, I just called them up to clear up a mistake. They agreed to fix the mistake but never did. Of course, some people are going to make assumptions and blow things way out of proportion. I'm just glad that the truth about this company has emerged. I love it when karma works out.
