Default kicking side ways

so i had some 10.5" rear wheels on my car and just recently sold them and threw on my stock wheels. Its been forever since i've driven with stockies. Today it was a lil wet outside but i didn't think anything of it. My car was kicking side ways every 5 secounds. It felt like as soon as i would hit the gas my car would start sliding. My stock tires have less than 10k mils on them. Does anyone else have this problem on stock wheels? I never thought that the 3.5" would make that big of a difference.

What tires you have on your big wheels? Type of rubber makes a big difference... Stock size wheels and stock tires are not nearly the quality most put on when they go aftermarket. The stock tires are crap IMO...

BTW was this just light pedal modulation or were you suddenly going full throttle? Do you not have TCS?

It's your LSD that is causing this. It should not happen... So if it happens promiscuously, you need to check our tires (wear, difference front to rear, etc.) and your tire setup.

Yup. I'm still getting used to the car in the rain (only had it a few weeks). If I give it ever so slightly too much gas in 1st it spins the wheels. Too much after shifting into 2nd and it spins and kicks to the side a bit. As soon as I let off the gas it corrects. It freaks my wife out when it does it. I'm just driving slowly as normal (i drive very slow compaired to just about everyone on the road) and that is still too much. I bought it with a set of crappy continentals on the back which are probably helping it to spin.

^^ I'm pretty certain that what you describe is caused by your tires. New and better tires will solve the problem. I believe that you have already arrived at this conclusion.

Lay off the go pedal a bit then... Gotta learn how to handle RWD properly, once you do you'll be fine.
