Hey guys. Discount Tire Direct has considered a trade in program. This is designed for people who are upgrading both wheels & tires. So lets make an example...

You chose to run a set of 19" GGames wheels which would run you just shy of $3000.

Would you want to trade your wheels & tires in to us?
Would you want to sell them out right?
Would you keep your stockers?

 

Are you refering to 17" or 18" stocks? I think either are worth more than $400. But then again it's much like trading a car into the dealer. You can sell them yourself but sometimes it's just easier to trade them in.

 

The Track 18" Rays replacement cost is $1090 each from my local Nissan dealer.

How much would sell me a set of stock tires & wheels for?

 

definitely more than 400 for any stock wheel + tire.

 

When I upgraded to the 18" Privat/Fahrens from my stock 17" I had to get rid of the stockers and a friend wanted them. I sold all to him for $600. But than again I'm easy and he is a friend. Of course the market for oem 17" in the 350 crowd is non-existent so I feel okay w/$600. Regards, Jim

 

mine are worth about 15cents to me, they sit in my basement taking up space.

mainly cause their trashed and not worth much more than a short uncomfortable seat. or a very large paper weight.

 

Sold my 18" Performance Rims for $600, and bought Rays rims for $1400.

 

If I went with 19" I would keep my stocks for the fact that sometimes I make long road trips, and making those trips on a 35 series tire is not very smart. By the time I get back home I'll have to buy new tires. So I would use my stocks for those trips.

Well, I have extended warranty on the tires, and they supposedly run at 414$ each rear tire...Personally I think they suck, but I like the rims. Thinking about some 19's, tho. Another thing - on the poll, is that price per rim/tire or all four?

 

unfortunately the going rate for trades is the above...for the set.

 

Dude, you should have known before you posted the trend that we would overvalue them according to your scale, lol. I still have mine, and I really don't see myself getting rid of them anytime soon. I will probably use them on long trips to not put a lot of miles on my Proxes.

 

Wholesale replacement value on the Bridgestone's alone are
$500.00 Canadian each or approx. $355.00 U.S. This is for
the touring 18"ers.

$400.00 for the set? You're kidding right?

You guys will likely in turn mark that up a 100% plus on the
resale market.... it's business I know, but someone would
have to offer me at least a grand to even think about getting
rid of the wheel and tire set. Besides, they are just too damn
good looking.

Im not saying anyone should trade in their track wheels & tires for this price. I wouldnt.

You also have to consider I have 1st pay you for your set. Then pay to have them shipped here, then pay for them to ship out again. Trades will be used mostly for cheap winter packages.

 

WTF are you talking about? You make people ship their wheels in on their dime. Once they are inspected by your staff and approved, than you discount the customer's new wheels for the trade and shipping.

 

damn, if anyone is thinking about doing this with their 18' stockers....I"LL buy them for more than that.
