Question how do I know my offset?

Hi guys! I bought my Z used from a friend and already had wheels. How do I determine the wheel offsets? The reason I ask is because I'm lowering my Z pretty soon with and getting new shocks as well. Once lowered I'd like to get my wheels to stick out just a bit so I'd need to know the wheel offsets so I can buy the correct spacers. The current tire set up is:

225/40R18 FRONT
245/45ZR18 REAR

Very hard to give you what you need without the info. There might be a sticker with the specs of the wheels inside the wheel barrels. If not it might be stamped on the spokes of the wheels. If not................take a measurement after you drop it from the outmost part of the wheel to the fender line and get a spacer that fills the gap.

OTHERWISE post pics =)

PS. it looks like you are running stock wheels if im not mistaken. If thats the case people with 25mm came out pretty flush. GL

With that tire combo, ABS should hate you and think the rears are sliding.

Why would that be? The only difference I see between his setup and stocks are the 40 profile fronts instead of 45.

ahh! thank you! I will check it out. Well the car came with the wheels. They are Sterns. They are ok wheels, not my cup of tea but they came with the car. They look a whole lot better than stocks. Eventually I will buy 19 RH or some other better brand, but for now I have to like what I have....

You don't need to know the offset. You just have to decide how far to move the wheels.

The rear tires are 40.5 mm taller than the front. That is a drastic difference. You might consider alternative tire sizes in the near future.

Right on brother....thaks for the help. I may need new set of wheels period. I really don't dig these wheels but as I said they came with my car so for now I have to rock them until I get my priorities crossed out of my list.....I try selling my current wheels, don't know how much someone would offer but I will post pics for you guys to judge.
