Default Painting Stock rims? What do u think?

Hey ive seen alot of peoples cars that look really good with these z rims painted either dark gray or black. My z is a gray color wondering if the powdwer coated black look would look good. Anyone know anything about doing this? Price? Good idea or bad? Anything helps. Thanks.

In my area (CA) they run around 75 to 100 per wheel. Satin black is my preference. I got quoted $85 for satin. In my opinion powder coating is the way to go. Be prepared to dismount the tires from your wheels and have your z on stands or spare set of wheels. Most people will not let you leave your car in their shop nor have the tools to take the rubber off the wheels. Good luck.

^or better yet buy good ones. If you have to paint it, go powder coat. Don't be cheap and try to buy spray cans in autozone.

Painted stockers are lame IMO, but so are most of the aftermarket wheels people buy, like 19" rims that are cast and weigh 28 lbs.

Some lightweight rims that look good and fit on the car. That would be cool.

The Rays Forged stockers don't count as lame, painted or not. I'm talking base/enthusiast stockers.

Powder coat if you think they will look good, I have seen some clean looking powder coated wheels, it may make you happy for now and you can upgrade to aftermarket wheels down the road, and you dont have to have volks to be "cool".
