Default Offset question (yes I searched)

If my research is correct, 9.5 inch wheels with +35mm offset will not fit on the front of my Z without spacers. (rub the inside)

I also read that a 9.5 inch wheel with (less) than a +22 offset might rub the fender. (rub outside)

Am I correct in assuming that the 9.5 inch SSR Comp-H wheels that come with a +35mm offset can "thread the needle" by simply installing a 10mm spacer? (9.5 inch, +25mm) Again, this is only a question regarding front fitment.

***Update!***

9.5" wheel with +35mm offset and 275/40 17 tire = RUB! (On the inside, not the fender side)

I could turn the wheel with my hands, but I could also hear it rubbing and, when I took the wheel off, I could also see the black mark it left just from turning it by hand a little.

Oh well. I guess I am going spacer shopping...

It looks like I have just a little over a half inch gap (inside) with my 8.5 +31mm. I thought it would be real close if I just bolt it (9.5 +35mm) on.

Are you sure?

If it clears when parked, should it also clear under hard cornering?

Flush? You mean with the fender right?

I am just trying to get more rubber on the road, I'm not as worried about the looks of it. (unless it's really bad.)

you can run a 9.5" wheel with a +5 offset up front dropped 1.5" with 1.6 degrees camber and not even be close to rubbing with a 255 tire. prolly run a 275mm tire no problem as well.

What offset do you think you can fit close to flush front(9.5) and rear(10.5) dropped 1.5 inches(fenders rolled) with as close to factory camber? Lets say tire 255/35. 285/35.

***Update!***

9.5" wheel with +35mm offset and 275/40 17 tire = RUB! (On the inside, not the fender side)

I just bought the identical set of SSR wheels I have on my Z now (from another Z owner), in hopes of replacing my 8.5 inch fronts with the 9.5 inch rears from the set I just bought. (SSR Comp-H wheels, if anyone wants to know.)

I could turn the wheel with my hands, but I could also hear it rubbing and, when I took the wheel off, I could also see the black mark it left just from turning it by hand a little.

Oh well. I guess I am going spacer shopping...

I am thinking 10mm. I will track the car with these spacers, so they need to be a good, solid fit. Any suggestions?
