scott300 spammed my inbox with 150 messages of ghey pr0n and told me to come back to this thread.......

sydney guy, i would check other 18x9.5 wheel people and see what tire size suits you.
Z1, is that a 18x9.5 wheel on 295/40/18? no? mmm why sell it to him like thats exactly what he is going to get? thats bad mojo.

Start here: the 18" wheel thread.
https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...-thread-3.html

the very last post is this guy:

Enkei RPF1'S 18X8.5 +30, 245/40/18 front
18X9.5 +15, 275/40/18 rear

except yours will look slightly more sucked in the rear.
it looks like he actually has 17" wheels bc of the thick tires.. just trying to help you explore more than one option from the drag zombies.

if you like that look, do it! just dont get scott300 to fill my inbox with ghey pr0n no more. its pretty annoying and childish.

Not to jack your thread OP but maybe you're interested in this too...I'm thinking of keeping my stock tires/rims for winter and getting another set of TPMS for my Advans. Do you guys know what the process is for the dealer to reprogram my car for the other set of TPMS is? Do they need to be the ones to install them, can I just write down all the numbers on the TPMS according to what rim they are on and just give that info or does whatever equipment they use adjust automatically? Furthermore, is it an expensive service (cough, cough @ dealership service) and would it be worth it to get them reprogrammed everytime I switch rims/tires. I've been curious about that. Thanks!

Concave - You take things too seriously - it's an internet forum, lighten up a bit I didn't post it to reflect what his would look like, nor did I post anything of the sort. When Scott posted about 295, he didn't reference any aspect ratio either. You said "295's - it will look like a 4x4" - my post, which actually shows a 285 (RE050A), clearly shows that such a tire does not look like a 4x4. In reality you are both correct (obviously) - but neither of you are saying it correctly. As I suspect the OP already knows, the section width, and aspect ratio together determine the overall look one ends up with. Talking about one without the other really doesn't make much sense.

As a better point of reference for the OP, here is an earlier pic of my car - CR Kai, 8.5 +20 up front, 9.5 +20 up front, with S03's in 245/40 front, 275/40 rear. On my car, at this height, regardless of how much camber I tried, fender rolling was required on this to avoid rubbing (since the S03's run so full). The previous tires I had (Toyo's) never rubbed, despite being the same size, even with at/near factory camber.

good luck OP, post up when you get it fitted

Actually, I've already tried teaching this misunderstood Mr. Mudtire, and he has his ears plugged and his eyes closed. This is what I told him in another thread:

What constitutes an, *ahem* "mud tire"? Do you want the answer? Aspect ratio (psst, it's the number that follows the "245" on your old tires), as well as tread type. My truck's tires are 285s, but they are a 70 A/R, so yes, they are mud tires, look like mud tires, and are on a truck. Do you know that a 305/30/19 has a 1/2 inch shorter sidewall than your 245/40/18s?
