Default ----> F1 Motorsports is screwing me over!

well.... I ordered a set of 20" Work Varianza T1s in BP finish for my G back in october. I opted to pay the extra $300 to have them air-freight shipped. 3 short weeks later, I get my wheels. Came to find out as I was opening the boxes that they were wrong. The correct size, finish & offset but the wrong lip. I ordered stepped lip not a full-reverse lip.

Chris from F1 was out of the country when I placed my order. He told me to order thru Aun, the owner of F1. I contacted Aun and informed him that the wheels came in wrong. 1 month later, the wrong wheels were picked back up by HRS enterprises, the import company F1 uses for orders. Aun told me that there wasnt any problems and that my correct wheels would arrive in another 3-4 week time frame. I was frustrated but was OK with the problem. Its not like they can shyt out another set overnight.

I came to find out that F1 orders thru HRS who then orders from WORK. What a mess huh?

My wheels are done (in Japan) and ready for shipment but HRS has a hold on them because F1motorsports owes them money. F1 is apparently not paying because I get the run around from Aun every time I call. Chris & Pat at F1 are well aware of the issue and have been tring to help me in every way possible. It looks like F1 is in financial trouble. My CC company cant do anything because its exceeded 60 days.

Im effin' stuck in a finger pointing game between HRS and F1 of who pays for what. Mean while the customer is absolutely being screwed over.
Every time I speak with Aun, he tells me hes "working on it." Aun never disclosed the real story. I had to find out from other sources. Aun is singing me the same sad story....."hes working on it".

In the end, I paid for a set of wheels in which I have not recieved yet. Either get me my effin' wheels or get me my money back.

Oh and by the way, Aun begged me not to post this in the forums but Ive ran out of patience with him. The world must know inorder to prevent others from coming across this problem.

Wow, sounds like what i went through a few months back with a vendor here. You should still be able to file a claim against the company. If all else fails, hire a lawyer and let F1 know that you mean business. I haven't heard anything good about F1 anyways.

Just start a dispute with your credit card company. I had to do this a few years ago with a simular situation with wheels.

the CC thing wont work. They said there is a 60 day max time limit to file a dispute.
F1 was great when I ordered my GTS's 2 years ago. No problems what so ever.

what will filing with the BBB do? just curious?

If HRS picked up the incorrect wheels, why aren't they willing to ship the correct ones back to you? I understand that F1 owes them money, but if they shipped the original wheels, then picked them back up, then why couldn't they ship you the new wheels. Probably an oversimplified question.

just a way for them to play hardball to get their money from F1, plain and simple business.

well...I filed with BBB.

I spoke with Aun just now and he bascially told me to do whatever I need to do. (basically, go fuvk yourself) Aun is refusing to give me my money back.

The beef is between HRS and F1. HRS effed up the order on the original set. HRS picked up the wrong wheels. The original set has been bought and paid for by all parties. HRS wants F1 to pay them for the new set (the correct set).

I understand F1's position but frankly its non of my business. I dont care who they owe money to. All I know is that I paid for some wheels that I did not get.

from what I understand, its HRS fault but F1 doesnt want to take care of their repeat customer. [me]

In my experiences BBB has never done crap, but best of luck in this situation. You're definitely stuck in an unfair jam.

BBB does nothing to enforce business practice. I used to do correspondence for a wireless company to the BBB. The business has to be a member for one or it doesn't matter, two, the business ultimately makes the decision to do what they deem is necessary. The BBB is an entity designed to be a source for consumers to see if a business is worth dealing with and also a source for stock investors/share holders to see how business is handled. You make a complaint with the BBB and then they send a written complaint explaining your side of the story (if F1 is a BBB member) then if F1 is a member they may choose to respond within the 60 day period allowed with their decision. Normally it is in the company's best interest to respond especially if they have share holders but that doesn't necessarily mean they will reverse anything or give you your money back. If they don't answer it is just filed as an unanswered complaint for public document viewing. If the customer is wrong the company can answer and share their side of the story for all to see. If the company wants to save face it will sometimes offer several solutions to the issue. BUT the BBB can not force the company to do ANYTHING.

Edit: In your situation a Credit Card Chargeback is the answer. The bank will give you a provisionary credit back into your account within 7 to 10 business days and you and F1 will receive paperwork to explain both sides of the story. You have paid an received no product, F1 can only say they have finance issues with a vendor. Bank will side with you because it is unfair business practice and you are the bank's customer, F1 will lose sale. They have 30 days to respond back to your bank and if not they fault and you get your money back.
