Default Track and Grand Touring have wider rear fender flares?

I was just looking through some old stuff, and found this in an old motor trend review for the '06 Z.
Save for the Track and new Grand Touring coupes, all other models get redesigned 18-inch cast-alloy wheels mounting W-rated 225/45 front and 245/45 rear tires. The top guns are fitted with new Rays lightweight, forged-alloy rims that now carry 245/40WR18 rubber up front and 265/35WR19s in the rear. Larger wheel offsets needed to fit those super shoes also bring wider fender flares.
This is the first I've ever heard of that. Do the Grand Touring / Track issue models have wider fender flares, or am I just misreading that, and its that ALL 06s have slightly larger flares....

They are not really fender flares, they are little black plastic pieces that stick out of the fender towards the rear bumper.

There are no bodywork changes on the Grand Touring, track or '06 models.

That's funny... didn't know those fillets were specific to the 06+ track and gt. I just assumed everyone had them.

But, I guess this just goes to show that all M/T does is regurgitate marketing dept b.s.
