Okay - the mystery has been solved.

Apparently, without much fanfare or notice, Nissan put TPMS into all 2005 cars. "TPMS" is listed as a feature in the 2005 selection guide but doesn't have any indication which trim is available with - you can assume that it means all trims, including base with 17" wheels.

In the 2006 selection guide, TPMS is listed as a line-item feature with the X marking each trim level its available for and the Base is one of them.

Already fixed it to clarify that it is applies to 2003 and 2004 base model Zs.
