Are these good deals? I like the Sterns ST-11? Any bad about Sterns?

 

Are you serious right now? your gonna put wheels worth $400, Lol you gotta be joking kid. First of all those are ugly, look at the sizes and also stern's are known for cracking ALOT. If your on a budget look at rota, some of their designs are nice and for $900 you cant beat the price

Wow.. what a response, I didn't want to offend anyone. I was just browsing and came accross them. Figure I would ask since I dont know anything really about rims and they see to have a good price. Almost a too good to be true price.

I didn't know about the cracking on Sterns. Now I know so thank you.

 

yeah man... Look into rota... They are good for the price.

 

wouldn't recommend those bro. if you want cheap decent wheels, like the others have said do a search for Rota wheels. or save up for a while and buy some nicer one's. the Z deserves nice wheels, and also i might see you cruisin around and if you had those wheels on i'd shoot you

 

So I like those Sterns but I am not going to buy due to the feedback I got here. What other brands have similar style rims and how do you determine if the brand is a good brand or not?

 

Here is what you should learn about wheels:

a. Weight. Its expensive to make light weight wheels. Heavy cast wheels are inexpensive to make.

b. Fake 2-piece wheels. Its a 1-piece wheel. THe rivets are fake.

c. Finish. A well finished wheel will look good after 50,000 miles of dirt, rain, snow and salt. A poorly finished wheel will look like ***** after 5,000 miles.

You get what you pay for.

 

Look for wheels with these certifications:

JWL (JAPAN LIGHT ALLOY WHEEL): The technical standard for Light Alloy Disc Wheels for Passenger Car approved by Ministry of Transport (MOT)

VIA (VEHICLE INSPECTION ASSOCIATION) Registration System: VIA marking can only be engraved on the wheel is registered by Japan Light Alloy Automotive Wheel Testing Council after strict quality tests by the authorized testing facility on the adaptability of JWL or JWL technical standard.
