Bought my 03 z last summer and now am itching to put wheels on. My car has showed no signs of feathering and I dont want it to start. Not even Sure if sizing make most of the difference. But im sure it's been asked a million times. i want to bump up to 18" what are some of the common widths people rock without feathering issues..

 

245 front and 275 rear are probably the most common. Anything more than that is really just added unsprung weight without all that much benefit. I know some who are running 245 all around and swear the handling is better but the looks suffer with that.

 

You want a no-feather guarantee on a 2003? Good luck.

 

OP, just think about how many people on this forum who have a 2003 Z and have put rims on it. You just have to take a chance. I mean hell, I have a 2006 Z and I pray everyday my engine doesnt have oil consumption lol. Good luck man.

You have an '03, sorry you're not allowed to get rims.

To my knowledge feathering was an effect of bad alignment, not wheel/tire size. Of course it probably manifested itself differently in differing tire sizes.

 

If you get new wheels, it's a good idea to get an alignment done anyway.
