Default Thoughts on 18" TSW

Hey guys.

I'm going to be pickup up a set of 18" TSW MONDELLO HYPER BLACK wheels.
I got crap stock 04 wheels, and I'm on a budget, so I think these aren't that bad. But what's your guys' opinion?

Also heres a link to my Z as is.

I think it's a good looking wheel.

What are the sizes and offsets though?

I had those 18" wheels on my '03 Z that got totalled and liked them. I know most here don't like them, partially because they're supposedly heavy, but to each their own. The'y're inexpensive and have a different look. The only thing is that the spokes don't go all the way to the lip so it tends to make the wheel look smaller.

I now have 19" Cadwells which I love. You might look at the Jarama's. I almost got them and saw them on a Z recently and really liked them. Good luck.

If the price and specs suit your needs do it. No need for my permission.

I'd go for some oem track wheels. but they don't look bad. I'm not sure if I would track the TSW's but for a DD I think they're ok

I like most tsw styles. I'd go for it. Just make sure you get a good offset.

The wheels look fine. I wouldn't worry much about the weight if the wheel construction is good.

If you can buy them with the correct offset, go for it.

The guy I was talking to said he'll sell the set for $500 (wheels+tires).
"225/45x18 and 245/45x18 (offset is 45 and 20)"
He has pictures of them on his Z, doesn't look too bad.

Offsets are awful. Do not buy these wheels.

I had the same Mondellos in 19" and hated them (performance wise). They are heavy and as some members have already noted the offsets are high. I have the Nismo's lmgt4 and love them. Really good track wheels. Anyways, with some spacers these Mondellos will look good on your car. They are nice looking wheels.

I bought ^ 19" mondellos. I had to get spacers to make em look right (I went 20mm front, 15mm rear, could have snuck in an extra 5mm on each to make it look a lil better), but they are good looking wheels. Z is just a daily for me so it worked out well. he hooked me up big on price too!

is the offset based on the wheel on the tire?

My car is on a lowered suspension too :/

The worst definition possible off of the top of my head to help you understand it: the offset is a wheel spec. the wheels offset is going to determine where the wheel itself is positioned after being mounted, and will effect how it looks as far as being tucked in the fendor or sticking out of the fendor. the stock wheels offset is +(positive)30ish offset and this leaves it tucked in a good amount. most members run 25mm spacers to make this flush with the fendor (thus creating a +5mm offset)

the technical definition: http://www.reliabletool.com/products/offset.htm
