The guy I got my NISMOs from ran a 265/40/18 up front. You could go 275/35 as well, though I doubt you'd be able to keep the 25mm spacer. You could change to the 18/19 RPF1 combo, I just don't think you can put the 15mm spacer on there to net a 18x9.5 +0 tire without some work.

I'd rather my big tires, big grip, and no rub then your rubber band tires that rub all over the place. Yeah, that's fun. You probably bottom out on your shocks as well, which always makes for predictable handling. Your 285/30/19 is also 1" shorter than stock, which makes your speedometer useless.
"Going back to stretch" - cool. Bye.

Speedometer can never be useless. If either 1" shorter and taller in tire height, it can easily be compensated by simply adding or subtracting +/-5 mph to whatever the speedometer says. Unless you have trouble at math

jfc, who friggin' cares? I rarely even hit my car at WOT thanks to the damn cops and their love of giving me tickets. I like the look, therefore I purchased. I'm not a fan of the stretched look whatsoever, but I'm not in that thread hatin'. Chillax.

I think scotts300 may be a lil wrong. I see Z's at scca event running 285 & 295 up front with aggressive offsets all the time. search "blomys14" brad ran 285/30/18 on 18x10.5 +15 up front with -3° camber for autox and drift. Thats almost the same as 9.5 +5

his car neither rubbed nor bottomed out when stretched properly with the right offsets and tires. lol. Unlike a lot of people in this world, fatter tires doesn't mean your car is fast or will get any faster. It might trick the noobs into thinking that though.

One can never assume who is smart and who is mathematically challenged. The faster you go, the larger the read versus actual speed delta increases.

I think it was mentioned but someone needs to start a thread for "Track wheel and tire combo set-ups". Not everyone uses the car like it "should" be used.
This thread is more for the show us how to stuff a 325 in the rear of this car. Not if its too much for tracking etc. ie More of a LOOKS thread.
And a 275 on a 18 or 19x10.5 dropped .5 has no thread yet. Thats more of the "Show us your offroad setup."

Now if someone was to post a pic of an oversized tire on an aggressive fitted wheel and say they did it for looks, then fine. But they shouldn't have to pretend the did it for performance when it's never going to be autoX.
i feel like this was discussed before

i mentioned this awhile back when ppl were hating on kingbaby's fender,
we should do this.... of maybe make another thread that reads "dumped with aggressive Fatties!!!"
yes we discussed this awhile back when you posted your 305's, and when kingbaby posted pics of how he cut inside his fender
were going in circles
20X10 +10 rear with 305-25-20
i do it for the look ..... but my next setup is going to be stretch... im about 75% sure of this.... just because i agree with Toby-22
plus the stretch thread seems to encourage the members to do something... and here ppl get discouraged and shut down
idk.... to each his own... but this is more of a track setup thread and i have nothing close to a track setup

you notice every time you criticize someones setup you always seem to bring up "autox". You go by what you do and what your good at, which is not what we do or what we're good at. This isn't an "autoX" thread, stuffing 305 up front and 315 out back will just make our street driven Z's feel like ****. We dont need that much grip in the street, since street racing is illegal i'd rather focus more on looks over maximum performance. And this thread was started based on looks first, other wise the OP would have posted timeslips instead of pics of his beautiful car.
I was simply stating that fatter tires does make you faster within reason. I only responded with facts after the content of my statement was questioned. If you read through my posts, I think you'd see that I've been trying to help KingBaby. He and I have had a lot of offline discussions as well. At the end of the day, we're talking about 10s of MILLImeters, sometimes adding up to a whopping INCH of difference (in the rear). It's a minor amount unless you are competing at the edge of adhesion anyway, which of course most are not.

I didn't post that response to critique. SuperBlack said, "Unlike a lot of people in this world, fatter tires doesn't mean your car is fast or will get any faster. It might trick the noobs into thinking that though."

We do circles in the thread...lmao
I keep with the fat tires and pushing the limits at my ride height for two reason.
1. Looks badass!
2. Looks badass while going fast!
Simple, doesn't make you faster. Won't speak on everyone else setup but my car moves...street approved
