Official Aggressive Wheels & Fat Tires Thread
Does anyone know if 305/30/19 RS3's work on the 19x10 Grand Touring wheels? Recommended is min 10.5 wide wheel. It appears 295/30/19 is the consensus for this wheel, but Im curious if that's the tipping point? They will see track time and need to remain functional. I don't mind if they bulge a little.
I have 315/30 R888's....Makes your wheels look like monsters in the back and grips extremely well (once heated up) but they wear out pretty quick.

Its the vsxx. I posted some pics a while ago. I bought a 2011 sti recently and haven't really got back into the z for a little while. I'll get some better pics later on in the week if you want. The car has a do luck wide body kit though so fitment would obviously be different depending on your wheel width and offset. But the tires will still looks bad *** IMO

My wheels I will be ordering shortly are 19x9.5 +20 Front and 19x11 +18 Rear, I want as much traction as possible for drag and auto-x racing and know I will be rolling my rear fenders.. Should I get either 305 or 295 rear? and 265 or 275 front? And what sidewall ratio for these would keep tcs and speedo happy? Trying to figure out the exact size I need so I can pick out and order tires. I will eventually be lowering the car on coilovers preferably and getting the whole camber/toe kit as well to bring everything back into alignment. so any thoughts or suggestions?

345/30/19 were test fitted. I can run them with neg camber, but at $600 per tire I prefer not too. I got the wrong daum size anyways. They should of been 345/25/19s.
Ill post pics in a few.
once I off load the 30 series, ill get the 25s and rock those...
NOTE: I drive a G35

the comparison tire is a 305/30/19 to the 345/30/19 like I posted earlier the correct size should be a 345/25/19.
running a widen 19x10 +33 offset 370z rim, I added two inched to the inner part of the barrel.
this made the 19x12
with a 20 mil spacer the tires slightly rubbed the inner part of my shock, NO COILOVERS
with a 25 mil spacer, the tire slightly rubbed the outter part of my fender. Now I can easily run a degree of neg camber to make this work, however I dont want to chew this tire up in 3K miles running 550rwhp. So I prefer to run OEM camber specs on all my tires, especially $600 ea tires. lol
this is awesome news because the 345/25/19 is not only almost an inch shorter, its also .5 or so less wide. I can run the 20 or 25 (prob the 25 to avoid shock run on hard launches) easily with the right tire.
this was an expensive test, I hope that this proves one can run a 345 on a G35 and shut up the na sayers.
enjoy the pics. Stay tuned for the 345/25/19s in actions.
Thanks goes to Hills Garage for taking time out of their day to do a simple test that took about an hour and a half, after driving the car around the parking lot, and remounting and rotating (flip inside to outside) my 305s at the same time!

this is my first project and also the first time i bought/calculated my wheel & tire combo, you can do wonders with a backspace and wheel divider calculator, maybe this will be helpful to some guys here.
unless some extensive work is done to the fenders im pretty sure this is as wide it can go with "useful" camber.
specs are as follows:
18x10 +24
18x12 +22 (+37 barrel with a +15mm spacer)
toyo r888's
front: 295/30/18
rear: 315/30/18
r888's are gynormous and run almost an inch wider than what their website says, i planned ahead on my offsets.
my suspension is fully stock except MR street coilovers, when i dropped the car
my tire to fender clearance was perfect all around. ( which i planned on )
havent aligned it yet so i dont know my camber, but it looks acceptable. so i will adjust toe front and rear to 0 and keep stock arms and everything else all around. camber should be very close to stock.
the only "adjustments" were the removal of the screw that holds the fender liner in the front, and bent in the tab that holds it, and a fender roll with no pull in the rear ( done with a heat gun and a bat
)
the front clears the control arm by 2mm, and the fender with 2mm when fully compressed, the rear clears inside and out with about 2mm as well.
some pics of clearance and fitment ( excuse the mess around, and the car's appearance, its an on going project.) hope its useful!!
