here's an example of what I'm talkin about, 19s front and 20's rear... look how tiny the 19's look
I only had 18s on my G, so didn't know that they needed much more. The 20s do look better in those pics. I had never seen 20s look good before minus the one guy on here with the white 350 on 20s. He just got the size and offset right, and they look good.

Adon, you need a hug or something. LOL.

This thread has been anti-hellaflush since day one, nothing new to report.

I personally could care less either way, all styles are cool.

I personally hate the stretched look because it looks ridiculous, but it's just my opinion. No need to bash each other. People have different tastes.

I think the style that once started as hellaflush is now a subconscious competition to be more flush than the next guy. Therefore, over time it has transformed from hellaflush to hellapoke. People are going over the top to compete with each other. The offsets get lower and lower. The amount of bandwidth used by each post and repost of their car pictures has exploded exponentially.

The stretch thread here and on driver is a 24/7 competition, one huge offset and stretch pissing contest.

yea Scott the OEM 18's and 19's that come from the factory on a coupe look really good, I love both those wheels, I guess what I mean is if you're gonna do lipped wheels you gonna have to do 20's or the only other way to pull of 19's is if you're super slammed.

and yea totally right WhiteonWhite it has become a **** swingin contest with whos got the lowest offsets and biggest lips, which isn't so bad, but in between you got guys who think warped and chipped fenders that rip chunks of rubber off your tire is the shlt somehow, thats FTL right there as they say

Waizz I'm jus tired of all the back and forth hate, lol, we ALL need a HellaFlush and Fat Tires meet then we can reconcile and there would be peace!
plus I thought it'd be cool to post in here too because I've been to both sides of the fence....
even with my new setup knowing I'm gonna stretch tires and it'll look G, I would still just fckin love to put on some 345 or 355 series Nitto Invo tires on my 12.5 inch rear and rip up the road.

^^^We also have the who has the bigger pee pee contest but we keep that for pms.

Damn...so much bashing in this thread. I came to check it out because although I rock and love my stretch tires...i also like the look of a good flush meaty set up. Why you guys hate so much? On stretched tires as well as drifting....honestly drifting takes just as much skill as gripping a road course...

Mines the black one and I track the **** out of it. Drift and Grip. You may not like the look but don't bash it completely and the people that do it. Obviously this is function over form but it doesnt take me too long to put track wheels on and beat on my bish just like the rest of you. Can I corner as well as you on the street? No. Why would I need to? I dont street race.

That's right. Just like Jonny said, we have the who's got the bigger pp contest. lol. Right now I think I am running Fat Tires to be honest (according to my taste) but soon really soon ill be close to hitting the floor/stretch & rocking -offsets without spacers. I love both sides dont get me wrong, there is plenty of Z in here looking really good and in the track i bet they stick to the ground like gum in a person's shoe. Anyways i thought to share some love with this thread as well and post a pic of my Z. LMK what you guys think. When my new wheels come next week, I will be keeping both sets of wheels so that i can drift/track/autox/mountain run/etc.

Current setup is 225/45/18 Front & 245/45/18 Rear. Stance coils coming in so right now rocking Hotchkis Springs...

Anyways Enjoy!.. :P

Was this your turning point? You were practically banished from that thread because you weren't "Up To Par". The hate comes from both sides. If anything, the poke crowd is pretty cocky and harsh as well. I don't even consider it hellaflush anymore...it has evolved.

Anyways, my point is that less than 1.5 years ago you were being criticized for not be hellaflush enough. Each crowd has their harsh critics, but it's safe to say the Fat Tire crowd isn't as rough as the other crowd. You said it yourself: "Thanks and yes I know Im no where near as aggressive as everyone else I was just making a statement to the other NOLA guys.....but damn some people are harsh...-3 offset in the back on 245s and I belong in the fat tire thread? Criteria has gotten ruff lol"

I am not bashing the style. I am attacking the attitude and claims of hating.

Hell, my new setup for the 370z is going to be somewhere in the middle of the two styles with 20x10 and 20x12.5, 265 F and 315 or 325 R. Not sure on rear yet.

Proof is all over these posts:

I was pointing out the hate from this thread on the other thread. Obviously in each thread/style there is a criteria to be considered extremely stretched and aggresive or extremely fat tires and aggressive. I never once said that bashing doesn't go on about the people attempting to stretch and poke their wheels, but there isn't much bad mouthing about guys with their big meaty tires. If someone says their car is stretched/poked and its not we might say something, but thats because they attempted to go for a certain look and failed doing so. The thread has gotten a lot better at helping people acheive the look rather than bashing them for failing at trying. However you people are obviously not attempting the stretched look therefor there is no bashing on your cars nor critizing from our end. The only proof you showed me is that when I wasn't that stretched and aggressive and was attempting to achieve that look I was told it wasn't good enough. I don't know if you'll understand what I am talking about but it is what it is. The proof you provided can also be seen in this thread if someone doesn't have atleast 275s which i believe in an earlier page was the set standard to atleast qualify? Those saying our style is a dik swinging contest on who can go the biggest, your right. However to say that this thread is not like that as well is a bit hypocritical. Seems that if your in the 300s your the big man on campus around here. Just saying. I didn't come in here to argue because I love both styles, but I was just curious as to all the bashing on our style as well as bashing on drifting being a "glorified burnout contest."

I like both styles to a certain point. A slight stretch looks good imo. Stretch to where the outer edge of the rim is exposed and NO tire is touching, barf. For my first set of wheels I aiming for a 265/40 on a 9.5 rim. Not fat, not stretched, right in between

As far as drifting goes, its awesome to watch. I enjoy it. I guess to each his own huh?
