Default Longevity of Aftermarket Wheels?

So Today I had my tires replaced for my Work varianzas t1s. As my wheels were installed one of the techs says "Do you know your wheel is bent?"
Due to all the background noise like air compressors and hydraulics lifts going off...I missed heard him I understood "Do you know ALL your wheels are bent?"
I was completely floored at first but when I asked again he repeated what he said and I got relaxed.
I inspected the wheel and one is bent but not bad enough to cause an air leak or any kind of issue. I dont know if anyone has posted a thread like this before and YES I DID SEARCH!!!!!
So my question to you guys the Wheel connoisseurs is
"what is the longevity of aftermarket wheels?"
Yes I do understand sometimes you get what you pay for if you are a total and complete cheap@ss. But im talking about the high end wheel brands like Volks, Work, HRE's, etc.
4000 bucks can put a dent into your wallet. I was planning on keeping these wheels since I love them so much but are they gonna wear out quickly? I have had them for two years and 7months and I do keep immaculate care of them hardly any scratches on them. The bent rim I can only imagine was due to the GF
My ride is on stock height and suspension due to the roads here but at the same time I dont abuse my car either. I do take into consideration my Z is my daily driver now till I find another car to purchase.
Currently Im digging the meisters...but if they are gonna crap out on me within 2 years maybe I better not.
Please tell me your thoughts....How Long have you had your aftermarket wheels?
Are you satisfied with them?

Bends or cracks can happen to any wheel.

ok thanks rob. That does ease my mind quite a bit. I was starting to think WOrks wheels were all show cheaply constructed there for a bit.
I might have to get those meisters after all

Think about this, what could have happened with a cheaply constructed wheel?
Hell, I have seen people post stock wheels that have broken every spoke by hitting a bad dip in the road. **** happens...

You can bend any wheel but

its a design question. And design is just common sense. BBS (above) designs Y-spokes to spread impact. Look at the distance between spokes on the outer edge of the wheel. Impact is transferred to the spoke, then to the center of the wheel.

On the other hand look at the Volk wheel above. What supports the lip? Nothing. What supports the area between the spokes? Nothing.

VEry true! The wider the lip the more chances it has of being bent if you hit something hard enough.
Im 95% sure thats what the GF did probably ran over some Sh^t on the road. thats ok though she got me a new rim.

Well, i can say that i havent had any bent wheels or any integrity issues with my Work VS-XX 19x9.5 and 19x10.5, but i do have a problem with the color change of my wheels.

This is when i first bought it...

this is 2 years later....the gold has turned dulled and faded. i only used mild soap (meguiars) and water. I didnt know that this would happen to these wheels. but apparently there is nothing i could do about it. The "VS" on the center cap is supposed to match the gold of the wheels where you can basically see the color deterioration.

That is disappointing. 2 years is what? 20,000 miles? I suspect that the damage is from ultraviolet radiation.
