I did a search and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I'm looking to buy back my old 350Z for a work car. I'm in sales and drive around 35-40k miles a year. (2003 Touring with 33k miles) Stupid, I know. But it gets good gas mileage and I'm sick of my F-ing Honda. Anyways, I was wondering If I could buy 2 OEM rear 18"s and put them on the front so I could rotate my tires... Thanks
You'll have to keep the front and rear tires proportioned correctly to have your VDC system operating normally. If you had base model, it probably wouldn't matter but you have the Touring so it has VDC.
It has VDC, Its a 2003 touring. I sold it to buy a 90 TT. I guess I was wrong about the wheel sizes. So It has 18 x 8 all around? I didn't even think about the VDC being messed up. Is there anyway I can run the same tire size and rotate? I sold it to buy a 90TT w/ 16k Miles. Couldn't afford both at that time.

Reason: I'm stupid

Surprised that a 4 year member would ask such a question. The 4-square set up is not recommended with VDC.
just get 245/45/18 all around. I have done this many times on my 04 touring and have never had issues.

I've been wanting new wheels that are the same all around so I can rotate as well. I have an 03 Track model and was hesitant to upgrade since switching out wheels meant giving up one of the two giveaways that I have a Track model (someone just asked me last week if it was a Track model while I was at a gas station.) I never even thought about buying a used set of Track wheels and using two of the rears up front but that is a good idea.
JasonZ-Ya seems to have had no problems with it messing up the VDC.
To those who say it messes up the VDC, do you have personal experience or is that a Nissan recommendation or something? How will it mess up the VDC and what will be the affect on driving?
