wow... love that lip!....but yeah they do look very similar.

 

that's why I've been so hesitant on getting the Venaci Spirits, they cost just as much as the Work wheel, might as well go with the Work right???

might as well get the works if they are in the same price range lolol.

 

the spirits spokes are not flat like the works... that looks like the only difference

 

as far as I know work makes the spirts may be wrong. however the spirts look a little nicer but the work has a deeper looking lip on the 19" application. Either way both wheels are very very nice

I know that the Venaci wheels don't come with Full Polished Lips. Works do

 

Are you sure? what kinda finish comes on the lip of the venaci

I just talked to the CEO of Venaci N/A(according to super street, AKA Rick from STATUS) and Venaci's are made by WORK. so are they knockoffs? yes and no... yes it's the same design, but it's still made by the same company jsut branded differently.
He also mentioned that even though Venaci is manufactured by WORK, the brand Venaci itself is a joint venture of alot of different Japanese wheel manufacturers, Rays included. The idea is to provide great wheels, at a bit more affordable price. If you get price quote, you will see that these are a bit cheaper then all the WORK and Rays wheels. From what he explained to me today, this is my understanding.


I just placed my order for Venaci spirits and i'm pretty excited. The Venaci's do come with a diamond cut lip which for my preference is better because then you dont have to worry about the maintenance involved with full polished lips.

 

My gnosis have a machine finish on the lip.

 

Does anyone know what the cost differential is between the two wheels? I was under the impression that Venaci wheels are also fairly expensive. This comparison would really shed some light about this brands market position and shed some light for guys sitting on the fence, like me .

According to Rick@Status who is CEO of Venaci N/A, they are made by Work, so that would explain that.

I don't want to speak for Rick, But the quote i got for 19 inch Spirits is just slightly less then a quote on 19 inch Volks. These are JDM wheels manufactured by Work.

If i'm wrong, then i apologize but i'm just quoting what Rick told me.
