Default upgrading track wheels, need advice

my current setup

18x9 rpm r-505 painted black 24lbs each
275/40 rear
245/40 front

looking at getting
17x9 5 Zigen black fn01rc's 17 lbs each
I was told that I could get all they way to a 315 tire on the back.

This z is now going to be used for weekend cruizing/drag/autocross. I am not worried about the style of the rim as much as the performance for both drag and autocross.

what do you guys recommend for tire sizes?

I responded to your other thread, but 315 is too large for 9 or 9.5. 275 can be done in the front with some planning. You don't want that for dragging though. I highly suggest your "everyday" set be for autox and you get a cheapo set of rears or use stockers with 255s for drag racing.

If you are happy with a 275 mm tire on a 9.0 inch wheel leave it alone.
