295 is the maximum recommended size on a 9.5" wheel. You could put a larger tire, but your wheel offset would determine if it would rub or not. I don't think anyone makes a 305/40/18 either.

You got the widest, just order a set of 10.5 for the rear if you want wider rubber.

That sounds like a truck/suv tire size.

Im running 35 now and they are barely 2" tall. i wanted to see about 40's for a lil more side wall give, but the consensus is that 295's are the widest without going with a wider rim

^research tire sizes more. Sidewall height is listed as a percentage of tread width. A 305/35 will be taller than a 295/35.

I have the same wheels, and I want wider...but kind of in the same boat....it means wider rims.

305's are typically recommended for 10.5" and up. I want my OD of my tires to be as close to stock as possible though. I want my speedo, mileage & RPM to all be as exact as possible. I also don't want any extra wheel gap.

I'm just running the 274/40R18 recommended tires though, but I'm thinking about going back to my more "meaty" tire with a larger footprint like a RE-11 or maybe a BFG.

I would LOVE to see pictures of your setup with the 295's please :-)
