These are amazing wheels and not too badly priced. For what we paid for the car, I would not spend any less on quality. Not to mention Rays parent company to Volk, makes OEM wheels for our Nissan so its only fitting.
Well I could definitely see that, I would probably see things differently if I had a little extra money laying around haha. However, I bought my car used for about 15k and being a college kid, money is always tight. Which is why I went with the cheaper wheels.

But I watched the process in which they are made and that is one of a kind.

And to everyone saying I'm trying to start ****, that is definitely not my intention like others have mentioned, read all of the posts before flaming away.

thats great you bought your own wheels at the cost you could afford but starting this thread makes it seem like you had to try to justify your purchase by trying to get other people to agree with you about your dislike for volks. its like your second guessing yourself and you need others to reaffirm your decision not to buy volks. i dont think you were trying to start anything just trying to get some homies to back you up.

To be perfectly honest with you guys this is the way I went. I went with the 20 inch (to suite my gangster side ) Forte F42 Haze, and I know lots of people wouldn't like my rims cause they are heavy and whatnot, but to be honest I don't plan on tracking this car. I'm gearing more towards a 'show car' look, and these happened to be fairly cheap.

I have actually gotten a lot of compliments on these wheels too, a few compliments a week from random people. I think they go well with the silver door handles and the blacked out rest of my car. But I'm fully aware everyone has their own opinions and that most people probably won't like my wheels.

that wasn't my intention, but I guess its not untrue either. I really just was curious to hear from volk owners as to why they decided to go for volk's over others. I personally didn't know much about volk's before and hadn't met anyone who had used them.

Haha your right I definitely couldn't afford them. Out of curiosity would you still go for volk's if you were going for the 'show car' look?

Not to be rude dude but the common public is quite ignorant to what looks good and what doesn't. I originally had TSW thruxtons on my car and thought they were the beeezneees. After finding theis forum and seeing the media section I quickly realized that my thruxtons looked terrible and I needed to ditch them asap. My advice to you is buy a new set of wheels or get off this forum before the mod bug bites.

What would you suggest I go with? (just out of curiosity)

Like I said earlier, money is a little tight so I won't be able to switch it up at all, not that I would want to anyway, To each his own right!

But yeah show me what you think, and I'll tell ya what I think

Haha ok I fer surely agree with you that it looks 100% badass, I actually looked at volk's with black rims and red lip. (I was thinking about going black with red on the Z) but realized that it was wayyy outside my budget. But I've always been one for flashy rims (which is why I went with my current ones)

Heres a picture of my Z, You guys will probably absolutely hate the rims LOL

I think some of them look pretty good, but I've seen a lot of plain ones too (which people went crazy for)

My main question to you all is this: What makes volk's so appealing?

And I know each person has their own opinions and this one is mine (I'm sure some people wouldn't like my style of rims either), I am in NO way talking down to Volk's, just wondering what the appeal is.

Thanks!
your post is pretty terrible. the only criticism I can find of Volk rims is they are too expensive for you.

I agree, they are very expensive.

people like them because the designs are usually well balanced (see: TE37, CE28N) and they use advanced constructing technologies that result in very light and very strong rims.

there is also the brand name association, as well as the racing heritage.

most of the rims you probably like, are simply knock offed designs of these brands. that is why everyone likes Volks.

Looks like someone is looking for support for buying some crappy wheels.

How about not putting down others for having wheels $2K-$3K more than your wheels and instead appreciate what you have?

Well said.
