Am I the only one who doesn't get a hardon for Volk's?
hmm well I personally think that most of the volk designs are kind of...blah...If I could justify myself spending that kind of money on wheels they would be HRE's, DPE's, iForged or something like that. I think that most of the rota wheels look killer on the Z for the price.
And I don't wanna hear that Bullsh*t Rota wheels don't come in the right offsets because almost all of the wheels that Rota is putting out are in the +20 range.
And BTW does anyone know the goin price for the Volks on that black 420TT Z posted on the first page....probably through the roof like the rest of the parts on that car. For the normal Z owner I don't see why anyone would buy Rays wheels because they are not getting any of the advantages of owning 3 piece forged wheels...most of these Z's will never ever see the track.

You do know that Rotas steal Volk designs? And HRE and IForged are NOT in the same range. And god bless anyone that buys IForged with the reputation they have made on here.
Does it matter what the appeal is? If none of what they bring to the table as a manufacturer appeals to you on whatever level, then so be it.

I already did. I preempted your fail. don't worry about me.
Volk wheels were made for the track and its gotten to the point where the people who shell out the money for volks have a different set of wheels for the track so they don't hurt their precious volks...seems kind of backassward to me.
+1^
Bottem line. for the average consumer. They just got to look amazing and not fall apart. I think that is what rota was going for... as long as they can not fall apart.
But damnit still... that extra k or 2 or 3 or so on them volks goes a long way for a hot Z.

^^lol.
nothing wrong with Rotas. But a person who usually like brand names or materialistic things, Volk wheels will do. I actually like rotas, just not as my main wheels.
It's just like clothes. The same shirt at walmart will cover you just as well as the one from the armani store. But there will be people who buy the armani for a bit better material and mostly the name as a designer.

Rota wheels look damn good on a Z and like I said most of the people aren't goin to track their car. I don't car where they got there design from one bit. They are good looking wheels that look good on our platform.

"Rota wheels" don't look ''damn good'' on a Z... OTHER COMPANY'S DESIGNS look ''damn good'' on the Z.
you phrasing the statement this way is 100% disingenuous and flat out stupid.
if you buy the shirt from walmart, the color fades after three washes, you look like you are wearing a bedsheet because there is so much sleeve and the fitment in the armpit and waist is so enormous that you could probably glide to a safe landing if you fell out of a plane.
don't trivialize good design and high quality to appease idiots. everything has a cost/benefit. you don't wear a nice tshirt to work on your car, or build a house.
there is a time and place for everything. Rotas go on as winter wheels maybe, or on riced out cars. Volks go on with nice tires, and well executed cars.

yeah, I can't figure it out either... besides the plain fact of designs being lifted from the companies he claims not to appreciate, Rota mostly only steals the 'blah' designs from these other companies anyway.
see: TE37, RGII, RE30, BBS RS, Spoon, Mugen (off my head)
those are all 'blah' or as normal people would call them, 'classic' or 'understated and proportional'.
OP is basically contradicting himself not realizing it's harder to ******** in text. he needs to admit his problem is just that they are too expensive, and close the thread.

your wheels dont look bad at all man. like the blacked out theme.
just wanted to show you why some choose the volks over any other wheel.. performance/style/quality.. not just a name with an expensive tag.

Don't hate because u can't or don't want to afford it. I want some bbs lm's so bad but I don't want afford them but I'm not gonna hate. This thread is just as bad as a Volk owner starting a hate thread on rotas. If u don't like volks, fine but don't start dumbass threads like this because it makes u look like a hater. For the record, I don't run on volks.

AYE CABRON!!!!!... Ur sig says so...

Rota Grid = Volk TE37
Rota DPT = Volk CE28
Rota SVN = Volk RE30
I suggest you take a gander around http://fakewheels.com/ and take note of just how many Rota wheels are curiously 'similar' to oh you know...existing Volk/Work/Advan designs.
Some perspective might help you from making utterly ridiculous statements in public.

In any case, what does it matter to you that a particular owner's Z never sees a track? Do you have a full track duty car or is it a daily driver 90+% of the time. And in the case that it's more daily, why do you need a 300hp sports car with rigid suspension, summer tires, a limited slip differential, and sport seats to get to work?
That argument of what people need is so hypocritical, it fails to even register to you people that make it with all the confidence of a lemming following your brethren off the cliff of ignorance.
We don't NEED any of the extra things (300+hp, LSD, summer tires) on our car to drive around normally day to day. PERIOD. END ARGUMENT. But you don't seem to notice that. Technically you should have a Ford Aspire to drive to work if you're worried about what you really need. It'd be much cheaper to buy, maintain, and fuel...right?
Or wait, I think you're and extrapolating your lack of funds/desire/preference to have Volks to the fact that others don't NEED them. In which case, how about a look in the mirror Mr. knockoff Amuse and Gramlights err sorry, Shine and Konigs. Did you need all that just to get to work or for the track, or perhaps it was because that's what you wanted and no one should really care maybe...?
Your argument is pure failure.
I for one enjoy most 1 piece Volks and some multi-piece offerings. I will be using CEs on my daily driver next spring thru fall. That being said, never was a fan of GT-7s or even the newer G10s . It's about liking unique and quality wheels, not being a brand nuthugger. Plenty of other brands make great products other than Volk. That being said, you'd be hard pressed to find this type of quality and innovation across such a wide range of functional and obviously desired products.
